Related Skills and Abilities:

At Cornell I have taken a class in advanced costume construction, with special focus in corsetry and the creation
of 18th century undergarments. I can read and alter commercial patterns proficiently, use a sewing machine with
skill, and use a variety of hand sewing techniques for different tasks. I have enlarged period patterns and draped
from a body form for the creation of period garments. Additionally I have taken classes in scenic art creation, as
well as makeup design and application (traditional as well as airbrush application).
In addition to costumes I have designed props for Cornell Colleges production of Akarui, performed the lead acting
role in Cornell College and Riverside Theatres co-production of The Cripple of Inishmaan, and have held an 18-month
term as Cornell College Student Theatre Council (STC) General Director. I am also a classically trained violinist, a
vegan of four years, and a Gemini of twenty-three.
