Preface
The purpose of this paper is to be remarked neither
through the beauty of the language nor through the
stylistic descriptiveness.
As its title also suggests, this book has a clear
purpose, that of saving our planet.
In the dialogue between the two characters you
will find practical solutions, in order to sustain a cause
which many people consider already lost.
You have not laid hands on yet another ecology
book aiming at educating people to plant small trees on
the grass plot in front of the house, to recycle the garbage,
to use energy saving bulbs or any other pathetic attempt to
put a patch on the ragged bag.
In the following few pages, you will find radical
plans, in whose power lies the change of the destiny of a
mankind on the verge of collapsing and leads it to a
golden age, without risking any wars, genocides, killings,
revolutions... and without being opposed by the present
world rulers, due to major financial concerns.
If you are willing to find out how this can be
done... read this book!

Chapter 1
Over a glass of wine

Arthur:

Would you care for another one?

John:

Yes, thank you! It is very good!

Arthur:

My dear John, there is an issue lingering in

my mind that keeps me wide awake. All of
us have got this issue. Some of us got so
much used to it, that they forgot completely
about it or just ignore it completely.

John:

Arthur, I don't have the slightest idea what

you are talking about!

Arthur:

The issue of our planet!

John:

What is the issue of our planet?

Arthur:

We are! Our planet is suffering from a

disease called Homo Sapiens!

John:

Aren't you a little bit pessimist?

_____
Arthur:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

In nature there is a natural order. n the

Trophic Chain the plant is eaten by a worm,
the worm is eaten by a bird, the bird is eaten
by a carnivorous creature.
In this way neither the worm, nor the bird
come to over-procreate.

John:

Yes, even a child knows that!

Arthur:

One species has over-procreated and kills

the other species. Moreover, it finishes off
all the natural resources and it is on the
point of distroying the planet it lives on!

John:

And this issue doesn't allow you to sleep at

night?! Maybe this is the way it should be!
Maybe this race deserves to die!

Arthur:

Who is being pessimistic now?

John:

People have to pay for their sins in a way or

another.
A world war, an apocalipse...

Arthur:

Isn't suicide a sin? Isn't ignorance a sin?

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

John:

Arthur, most people have already accepted

the idea that nothing can be done anymore.
We know that we are on the edge of the
abyss and we have accepted our destiny!

Arthur:

You see... I cannot accept it! I love life too

much, I love nature too much, I love
progress too much.
I want us to do something!

John:

Whether you accept it or not, this is the

situation. We will distroy ourselves. Accept
it and get a life!

Arthur:

I can't!

John:

I don't understand why you would worry so

much! Anyway, the Earth will last enough
for you to get old, and then to die. Whats in
it for you?

Arthur:

This is exactly the way most people think!

Let me live a good life and after me, the
deluge!
Here is the cause! Here is the EGO!

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

John:

Why to think about the others? Do the

others think about me?! I couldn't care less
about what happens to the mankind after
my death! I'm glad that I have lived enough
to live these days and it's enough for me!

Arthur:

John, you know that I have been

psycology for years...

John:

Yes, we all know that about you!

Arthur:

I have been very serious in my

investigations. Hypnosis, lucid dream,
retrospection. I have experienced enough
and I have plenty of evidence, I have
recalled a part of my previous lives. I was
born with certain abilities...

John:

Arthur, you know that I do respect you as a

human being! If I didn't acknowledge your
moral integrity, I would consider you a
muddle-head, passionate about paranormal!

Arthur:

The difference between me and the

characters you compare me to is that I am a
scientist.

John:

...trying to follow you...

into

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Arthur:

To believe or to reject doesn't imply to

know! To know means to experiment
repeteadly and to check solidly before
drawing any conclusion!

John:

And why don't you write about these

things?!

Arthur:

Because people are not ready for them.

Most people believe in reincarnation, but
checking for it requires a great deal of
psychological work, that few people would
be willing to do!
Arthur, you know very well that the topics
such as spirituality, God, Santa Claus...
don't move me! Besides that, you are
straying from the point. What has
reincarnation got to do with what we are
talking about?!

John:

Arthur:

What if you die and this is not the end?!

What if you return to the same place?
Wouldn't you like to come back into a
better world?
If you are not thinking about yourself, think
about your children's children, at the
inheritance you leave them.

10

_____
John:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Arthur:

Is that what you are doing?! Will you

prepare the world you are coming back to?
Isn't this yet another form of EGO?
To be honest, I am not thinking so much
about myself. I consider humanity as a big
family. You love your brother, dont you?
Do you love your mother?

John:

Absolutely!

Arthur:

Well, people from all nations, animals from

all species, the plants, the mountains and
the springs are all part of my family. The
Universe with its planets is part of my
family...

John:

Global perspective...

Arthur:

The man's average perspective is restricted

to the line of the horizon. In the office, it
measures few ft, in the city, a few tens of
yards, but once you reach the top of the
mountain...

John:

Yes! It's true.

Yesterday I took a ride in my car on the hill,
I saw a thick layer of smog above the city...

11

Arthur:

John:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

The particles pollution. Besides the fact that

it poisons our blood and causes acid rains, it
also has powerful psycological effects.
What do you mean?

Arthur:

Have you noticed that, on a sunny day,

people are happy?

John:

Of course!

Arthur:

The blue sky has a direct psycological

effect.

John:

That's right! Last week, after the rain, the

sky looked like I have never seen it since I
was a child. Unfortunately, most of the time
it is grey...

Arthur:

That's what protects us against the

sunbeams, because we don't have the ozone
layer anymore.

John:

I know that, Arthur! The methane hydrants

from the permafrost have been destabilized,
the fish are dying, the forests are burning,
the glaciers are melting...

12

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

We can stay here for two days to discuss

about what's happening and ... all in vain!
We cannot do anything, anyway. We are on
the edge of the abyss. Accept it and think no
more about it!
Arthur:

I don't know why, but I cannot do that.

John:

But what can you do?! You are just a some

person, there is no solution for it.

Arthur:

Here I find myself compelled to disagree

with you!
There have been years, sleepless nights,
since I have been thinking about it... I have
found many solutions... I have a plan!

John:

A plan?! Why you from all the living?

Why don't you let somebody else do
something about it?

Arthur:

I am not sure why me. This call is

tormenting me, indeed. I have tried several
times to give it up... it doesn't leave me.
Maybe this is my vocation. Moreover,
nobody does anything about it. You don't
do anything about it!
13

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

John:

I don't do anything, because nothing can be

done.

Arthur:

No, there is something that can be done!

You have to understand the background
issue.

14

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Chapter 2
The background issue

John:

I understand, Arthur!
The issue is that the main industrial branch,
the source of money, is the energy, the fossil
fuels. The people controlling this industry are
not interested in
manufacturing electric,
water-based or compressed air cars. The
people who control the money control the
destiny of our planet. Hadn't it been so,
everybody would have had solar plates on the
roof of the house by now...

Arthur:

No, John! The background issue is the urban

pattern we live on. Ever since the prehistory,
we
have
organized
ourselves
into
communities, tribes, villages, fortresses, cities.
We occupied a certain area, we deforested and
we built houses. Until the 20th century, this
pattern was operational.
15

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Afterwards, two issues arose: the number of

the population raised exponentially triggering
thus the need for transport; we have begun to
build houses and main roads of even bigger
sizes. We reached the point of asphalting the
Planet! The Earth cannot breath anymore!
Here we are, on the point where the city is a
disfunctional pattern! The traffic is an issue.
We are blocked, we have no place to drive, to
park.
John:

We need broader highways.

Arthur:

No! We need another pattern, this isn't good

anymore: the transport from one area to
another, the sewerage, the gas, the electricity,
the running water... the architecture.

John:

We need a better mayor!

Arthur:

Stop thinking small, think globally! The mayor

cannot do anything. He just maintains,
manages.
The issue of the present communities is to
mend what's old. We build following the same
pattern, we think following the same pattern.

John:

And what can we do about it?

16

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Arthur:

Don't put the new wine in the old barrel! We

need to start over.

John:

Starting over supposes an apocalipse!

Arthur:

Let's hope it's not necessary, although, in this

case, it would be justified.

John:

I think that the only real solution is a virus

which should decimate the population.

Arthur:

John, you are being too radical! It cannot be

the only solution.

John:

You have provoked me! Think about it! An

antivirus, administered with the food of a
million people, previously selected by a secret
committee, then the launch of the virus. There
are a million people with healthy genes left to
repopulate the planet.
We cannot risk the extinction of all species
and of the only planet which can maintain life,
for the sake of one species only.

Arthur:

I have also thought about this solution and it is

not good at all!

17

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

John:

Why? Is it immoral?! It seems to me to be an

ethical decision, beyond good and bad.

Arthur:

It isn't practical!

John:

Why is that?!

Arthur:

Think about it! One million survivors left on a

heap of debris and putrified corps... Who will
clean up all this mess?

John:

Yes! You're right...

Arthur:

The only solution is to do something, on the

point we are already. The genocide is not an
optimal solution.
The negative actions cannot lead to positive
results. All along the thousands years, people
haven't evolved enough to understand this.

John:

Then, let's try to attract as many people as we

can, to launch advertising campaigns, to
collect signatures, to run for a certain
position...

Arthur:
John:

John, you make me laugh!

Well, youre the one who started, I am just
playing by your rules!

18

_____
Arthur:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

I have held hundreds of public conferences on

ecology, I have posted posters, I have
distributed thousands of materials, I have
organized ecology campaigns, I have collected
garbage, I have planted trees... I have tried to
induce emotion into the people...
The truth is that the masses are powerless.
They cannot decide anything. They are a sort
of imitatus roboticus: consume-oriented
people, lacking identity, unspiritualized,
mediocre, with no consciousness. They move
automatically, they are in vogue and they
believe whatever they are presented!
The masses are at the bottom of the pyramid
and those at the top have no intention of
changing anything.

John:

Do you think that those at the top don't see

that?!

Arthur:

If you are in front of a chess table, you don't

care if one pawn dies. For them, the poor don't
exist. Dust never clogs onto thier shoes.

John:

Yes, the secret societies ruling the world, I

have seen many documentaries... they are
satanists!

19

_____
Arthur:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

John, I thought that you didn't believe in God !

It's true that there are many naives who believe
that the world is led to the big grave by evil
and ill-intentioned groups, the reality is that
even those at the top are as automatical and
ignorant as those at the bottom.
This huge flock is moving thanks to inertia,
while the shepherds are sleeping on the full
bag.

John:

Don't tell me that the oil corporation's body of

employers agrees with the ecology!

Arthur:

No, the industrial tycoon isn't at the top of the

pyramid. At the top there are those who print
and control the money. They determine
financial crises, world wars...

John:

You see, they are the evil ones!

Arthur:

They aren't evil. They are just blind. They

have one religion only, that is the money!
They are as drowsy as the rest of the sheep.
20

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

John:

So, those at the top don't want to and those at

the bottom cannot. You have come to my
conclusion...nothing can be done!

Arthur:

Could be! Those who can really do something

are at the core of the pyramid.

John:

Im not sure I can follow you...

Arthur:

The money has the same circuit as an artesian

well: it goes up from the bottom of the
pyramid to the top, then it comes back to the
bottom, in order to go up again.

John:

Right!

Arthur:

Those form the bottom get money for their

work. The small employers give the profit to
the big employers in return for the products.
The higher we climb the pyramid, the higher
the amounts go. The higher the amounts go,
the higher grows the opacity. They have one
God only, the profit!

John:

And what can be done?

21

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Arthur:

You can offer them the possibility to make a

bigger profit. You have only to change their
field of activity.

John:

Or just shoot them!

Arthur:

Why shoot them? You need them... anyway, if

you shoot them, the corporation will be taken
over by someone else. Kings had been killed
before.

John:

What are they good at?

Arthur:

At what they do. They are good at managing

companies, at succeeding in doing what others
are incapable of doing.
You set up a huge company and you give them
shares and leading positions. Give to Caesar
whats Caesars!

John:

A company to deal with...?!

Arthur:

Real estate, energy, food, transport...

John:

Well, they have already been dealing with all

these.

Arthur:

Exactly! You give them the possibility to do

the same thing, but with a different pattern.

22

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

John:

What different pattern? Instead of gasoline

cars, electric cars?

Arthur:

No! Entirely different. I have told you that we

put the new wine into a new barrel, without
trying to mend the old stuff anymore!

John:

I am not sure that I can follow you...

Arthur:

Open the drawer next to you and give me that

long paper reel...

23

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Chapter 3
Plans

John:

Arthur, don't tell me that you have already

planned the world! I just cannot stop
laughing!

Arthur:

Maybe it's a craziness, maybe I am not

crazy. Anyway, don't expect anything
extraordinary, they are just blueprints and
ideas...

John:

Show that to me!

Arthur:

There you are!

John:

You have to explain to me...

Arthur:

This small square represents a luxury

appartment with a surface of about 100
sq.m.

24

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

The appartments are distributed into a cercle

with the diameter of 1300ft.
200 appartments a floor, 100 floors.

A cylindrical building of 1000ft height with

20,000 appartments. The building has 200
elevators to carry people and 50 to carry
goods.
John:

Yes, it seems to be a pretty good

project...and what about it?

Arthur: Imagine 20 similar buildings placed into a

circle with a ray of 16 miles.

25

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

400,000 appartments in a residential

complex of over 500,000 inhabitants; at the
surface, a very nice park and in the
underground, utilities and conveyor belts for
pedestrians.
John:

Why would you like to gather all the

inhabitans of one city in one building?
Arthur: Think about it! People need to move from
one place to another inside a city and for this
purpose they use cars. The cars cost money,
pollute, need main roads and parking places.
The cities are already being suffocated by
cars. By this project, the public transport ir
replaced by electric elevators and conveyor
belts... Renouncing at the private transport
would avoid many problems.

26

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Magnetic elevators, recreational spaces,

gyms, shopping areas, clubs, concert halls...
everything to be found in a horizontal city.
The materials used should be recyclable,
lasting, easy to replace.
To be avoided, as much as possible, heavy
building materials, such as the concrete.
In these modern times, the inhabitable
spaces with less than 5,000 units are useless.
Only in this way can we solve the problem
of the private transport.
John:

The only problem I can see about this

project is the terrorist attack. You blow up a
building and kill 15,000 people.

Arthur: The terrorism is a weapon of social

manipulation used by the dominant nations.
They need an excuse to invade a foreign
country and to seize the natural ressources.

27

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

They destroy two towers, sink a passanger

ship or two aircraft carriers, set fire to a
parliament or give a helping hand to change
a dictatorial regime. They need the perfect
excuse for the masses to support them.
An armed civilian, abused in his childhood,
who kills a woman with children, is brought
to justice and put on the electric chair, with a
powerful media scandal. A trained soldier
pushing a button in an aircraft and blowing
off a village is awarded a medal. This is the
insane world we live in. The governments
kill the population, not the terrorists. The
governments use the stupidity and the
fanatism of the terrorist groups in order to
create new opportunities for themselves.
Think about the fact that a group of
Bulgarians would attack the White House by
planes. They would have the perfect excuse
to launch a bomb over Bulgaria, with the
reason that they possess nucler weapons,
then to enter and to "help them from the
economic point of view". They will build
malls, will grant loans and Bulgaria will
return the loan with its forests, oil, gold or
other ressources.

28

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

As Bulgaria would never be a powerful

economy, the external debt would raise
endlessly, until all its natural ressources are
drained.
As for killing a large group of people, this
can be done using an atomic bomb or a virus
in the drinking water. In a horizontal city
you are vulnerable to the same degree. You
are under the false impression that you can
run somewhere faster.
In a very short time, the world fossil
ressources would be drained and the wellgrounded terrorism would be pointless.
John:

Nevertheless, how do you evacuate rapidly

20,000 people?

Arthur: External rappel lines, easy-to-use life jacket

and a fast evacuation system, by
technologically-controlled rappel.
With an ingenious plan, the total eviction
can be done in just a few minutes, through
the outside part of the building.

29

_____
John:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Ok... How do you solve the issue of the

transport from one city to another?

Arthur: For people, we use high speed oval-shaped

electric pitches with 2-6 places, which move
on magnetic rails.

The vehicle is equipped with a digital panel

where you enter an address and you are
informed about the duration of the drive,
when you have time to read, to see a movie,
to listen to some music or to enjoy the view.
Everything done automatically, without a
driver or human errors. The magnetic rails
create a network covering a surface as large
as possible, resembling a spider web.

30

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

In this way, we solve the issue of the goods

and passanger transport, with no pollution
and traffic jam.
The transport is made on poles, at a certain
height, as in the case of the electric gondola
trolly.
The magnetic system supposes the lack of
friction and the possibility of developping
very high speeds. There are already similar
trains.
This system means comfort, private space,
mobility and offers you the possibility of
enjoying the view. The accidents become
practically absent.
The advantage of ascending is that you don't
harm nature and you are not under the
control of the weather conditions.
At the ground level, high speed trains travel.
A skilled engineer can come up with a very
well-grounded concept.
John:

Indeed, the Maglev Trains system allows

very high speeds and proposes even the
replacement of long-distance transport
planes, but the costs are huge.
31

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Arthur: In this case, we reduce the weight. The

bicycle is incredibly efficient, an invention
which withstood the test of time. It is very
light and very strong. Instead of the vehicles
weighing 2,500 kg, for passanger travel, we
could have vehicles weighing 300 kg.
Narrow
and
large
diameter
wheels,
to
eliminate the friction and
a very light glass fiber
body. The vehicle is
propelled by an electric
engine.

John:

Yes, but on the highways, the risk of

accident is quite high.

32

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Arthur: Not on the highways. The highways must

dissapear. They are expensive and difficult
to service. The gear these vehicles move on
is high and narrow. The vehicle is very wellcentered, reducing in this way the vibrations
and the risk of accidents.
Everything is computer-controlled, the
maximum speed is 200 km an hour. The
electric engine is fed on electricity from the
outer part of the vehicle, resembling the
tram, the energy consumption is very low.
It is advisable that the design of the pitch
should also include two bikes which can be
used by the travellers for a ride ouside the
coverage area.
If you charge a team of skilled designers
with this task, I am sure they will come up
with an extremely reliable solution.
People won't own vehicles for private
transport. They will use this system the way
they use the taxi.

33

_____
John:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Arthur, billions of people means billions of

transport units...

Arthur: Not all the people drive simultaneously.

There aren't so many modules necessary.
90% of the time you spend in your
residential city and the transport in the
vertical city is made with electric elevators
and conveyor belts. The electric modules are
used only in the cases of medium-length
distance travels, so their number shouldn't
exceed 20-30% of the population number.
The long distance travels are made by train
and in the proximity, by bike or on foot.
John:

And where do you park thousands of

modules?

Arthur: Superpositioning and underground stockage.

I am sure that the designers and the civil
engineers will provide them with a modern
concept and will find the optimal solutions
for all these technical issues.
John:

I think that you realize that this is a utopia!

People won't build this before it's too
late...unless it is already too late!

34

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Arthur: I think that I will succeed in launching this

project, as long as the planning is good
enough.
John:

Do you think that starting from tomorrow,

the world governments will gather and
implement your plan within 10 years? You
are a dreamer!

Arthur: Not the governments. The governments

cannot rule themselves. The governments
won't do anything.
John:

What then?

35

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Chapter 4
The implementation

Arthur:

A wealthy businessman, after having

studied my plans, will set up a company.
He will hire a large team of researchers,
architects,
engineers,
psycologists,
physicists, scientists... the cream of the
society, geniuses... and together they will
build the perfect plant. He will build a
plant for the component parts of the
dwellings. The precasts can be transported
and installed on that particular site. That
company will produce all the components
for constructions, transport, energy, etc,
covering all the existing branches.

John:

Nobody has the necessary money to invest

in such a huge project, furthermore, it will
cause conflicts of interests and will have to
face many hinderings.

36

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Arthur:

Not if the plan is perfect. The company

will sell shares to the most powerful and
influential people, offering them the
possibility of making even more money. In
this way, it will become immune.

John:

But the governments will fight against!

Arthur:

The governments don't feel what's going

on, until the plan is partially implemented.
The plan will be gradually implemented. It
is no more the time when you were killed
by the oil companies for jeopardizing their
activity. Up to the moment when this plan
is implemented, they won't have anything
to sell.

John:

How can we do that?

Arthur:

The Lego game. The company buys land

on the outskirts of the city and the building
starts. When the first unit is ready, the
company will expand. The building is
constructed gradually, as the Lego game.

John:

And how do they get the green light from

the local authorities?

37

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Arthur:

With money! The decision factors can be

easily bribed.

John:

How affordable are these appartments to

the middle class?

Arthur:

Very affordable. The price of an

appartment of 100 sq.m. will be more than
attractive, around 20,000 Euro.
As it is fully equipped, it will be sold
successfully, due to the luxury it provides
and to the very low utility costs. This leads
gradually to the collapse of the local real
estate market.

John:

The utility costs cannot be low. The

electricity, the gas and the water have to be
bought from the local suppliers.

Arthur:

It has to be avoided! The company will

supply the building with drinking water
from deep wells.
The domestic water from rivers and barrier
lakes will be warmed up by the solar
energy and purified accordingly.

38

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

The electric and thermic energy comes

from the solar panels and wind-power
station, built in the proximity.
The more appartments are sold, the more
the vertical city is expanded.
As the thermic insulation is very good, the
energy consumption is very low.
John:

Think about it! Transport by electric

modules, elevators, internal conveyor
belts, recreational spaces, shops... All these
require a huge quantity of electricity. The
wind-power station and the solar panels are
not enough.

Arthur:

The tides can provide a much higher

In the desert, many fields of solar panels

are being built. Mirrors, parabolic gutters,
concentrating the sunlight over one oil
pipe, concentric fields focusing the
sunbeams over a tower.
We have the energy of the rivers, the
energy of the waves, the geothermal
energy. There are alternative methods
which are reliable.
John:

But all these are very costly, the profit of

the company isn't very big.

Arthur:

At the beginning, or maybe not, but the

company isn't interested in an instant
profit, but in obtaining the monopoly.
Nevertheless, if an appartment costs
20,000 Euro and the residential complex
accommodates 400,000 appartments... that
means an income of 8 billion Euro.
In only a few years, it will own the real
estate market, the transport, the energy...
In 20 years, the giant company will control
the planet.

The garbage

John:

Let's say that a large number of people will

move into these luxury appartments,
because the life there is cheap and
comfortable. What do you do with those
who are reluctant to moving? Do you force
them to?!

Arthur:

No! Up to that moment, a great deal of the

pessangers' travel will be made by electric
pitches.
The autonomous administrations supplying
heat, electricity, gas will raise the prices, in
the attempt of getting a higher profit from
the remaining population.
As I have already mentioned, the
employers of the giant companies which
sell oil, energy, cars will own a large
percentage of the shares of the newly setup ecology company.

To live outside this system will become

too
expensive
and
uncomfortable.
Moreover, your property will value very
little on the controlled real estate market.
Eventually, you'll take the decision that it
is better to buy a luxury appartment for
yourself, in the building with 100 floors.
The street won't be serviced and gradually
the cars will become out-fashioned and
will dissapear.
John:

What do you do with the wealthy people?

They won't be pleased to live in ordinary
appartments, no matter how practical they
could be.

Arthur:

Perfect, they will be the last to move!

There will be a luxury level, where rich
people live, built also on the vertical. But
the aim isn't that of moving the rich
people. They represent only 1%-10% of
the world's population . They can keep
their properties, if they can afford it.

John:

Let's say that 90% of the popuation lives

already in the new dwellings...

Arthur:

Luxury dwellings!

What to do with the remaining garbage?
What to do with the old properties?

At that point, the company already controls

the economy and the government. A law
will be promulgated, according to which
any property, occasionally inhabited, will
be demolished.
Giant crushers will put down the concrete
giants and will bite the asphalt, leaving
behind clean ground.
The debris will be transported to a place
representing a huge hill. The hill will be
covered in a thick layer of soil and on it
you plant trees. And on the empty ground
where once there were dwellings, there
will be planted fruit-bearing trees.

What a pity, dear Arthur, that this plan will

I am more optimistic! I will write a book

about it and it will be read by the right
man, who will set up this company.

John:

I am curious about what collection it will

belong to...
bussiness, personal
development... SF maybe ?!

Arthur:

The right man will read it! The rest is just a

matter of time.

John:

Time.... we don't have time! If only you

had come with this idea 100 years ago...

100 years ago we didn't have the necessary

The boundaries are just archaeologic walls.
As of 1900, the mankind has been ruled by
an invisible government, holding the

Chapter 7
The population
John:

- What do you do with cultural patrimony?

If you distroy all the buildings, you distroy
the history, you distroy the culture.

Arthur:

We have to choose between a history

based on lie, murder, profit and the future
of the planet.
The past is dead, if we are very
conservative, we will kill the future, too!

John:

Nevertheless...
everything!

you

cannot

demolish

Arthur:

I don't demolish everything. The Opera

from Sidney, the Burj Kalifa Tower and
other architectural pieces will withstand.
The gothic cathedrals, confession places,
castles, the White House, the Vatican,
certain palaces et institutions, houses with
a special architecture...

John:

There are many beautiful houses!

46

_____
Arthur:

John:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

I have visited many cities. The main tourist

attractions in the old area, constructions
dated from the time of the Templars and of
the Francmasons. But the influence of the
comunism, of the modernism was
devastating... blocks of flats made of
concrete with 4-20 floors, very ugly from
the esthetic point of view and very
weather-beaten.

Therefore, most constructions will be

demolished. The transformation will be
made naturally, not by force. Instead of
imposing a fact, it's better to impose a
fashion, a trend and the things go on
naturally.
What will happen to the agriculture?
47

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Arthur:

They will learn again to cultivate naturally.

Without genetically-modified organisms,
without chemicals, without food additives.
100% Bio! People will learn to eat natural
products. As uncooked as possibile, for not
destroying the vitamins anymore. If the
particle pollution dissapears, the acid rains
dissapear and the old strains will crop
again.

John:

I have seen that there are already projects

relative to an alternative agriculture, put
through in greenhouses within a vertical
building, modern methods of irrigation...
The intelect can understand only what the
eye can see. There are plenty of subtle
things that we cannot grasp. Nature has
already a perfect plan. The more we stray
from the natural order of the things, the
more we create nonsense and we harm
ourselves.

Arthur:

Look what happened to the geneticallymodified organisms... They considered that

the transgenic plants would feed the
masses, that they could improve the celery,
the maize, the soy, etc.

48

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Now, we don't know how to get rid of

them, we poison ourselves. They have tried
to improve the soil using nitrogen and
chemical fertilizing substances, herbicides,
insecticides and they have distroyed the
soil.
They have reached to the point when they
experiment
even
producing
meat
artificially, in the laboratory. Artificial
meat!
We consider us smarter than God and we
stray from the natural order of things, we
kill ourselves. The plants were created to
grow in the soil.

John:

We use natural fertilizers and we feed

animals on cereals and grass, not on
concentrates.
What do you do with the animal farms?
The cattle farms, for example, release huge
quantities of carbon dioxide and methane,
a gas with a powerful greenhouse effect.
Most people ignore it. Can you make all
vegans?

49

_____
Arthur:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Here there is an imbalance. I am not a fan

of vegetarianism, but people eat more meat
than needed. The excessive consumption
of meat means toxines, cholesterol and
obesity. The catering companies are a very
good idea in a modern society, the problem
is that most of them deliver junk food.
The menues should be created by
nutritionists. We exaggerate in what
concerns the heat preparation. The food
heated at more than 50 degrees Celsius
loses its vitamins, minerals and enzymes.
We eat tasty food, but we don't feed
ourselves anymore. Fresh fruit juice, fresh
salads, cereals, dairy products... this is the
healthy food. Meat - once a week.
If people didn't consume meat excessively,
the animals could be bred in airy farms,
with biological food, in a natural
rhytm....healthy meat.
The nutritionists should prescribe to each
person personalized food, according to the
diseases he/she suffers from, and the
catering companies should deliver this
food.

50

And not in the plastic package, to produce

even more garbage!
The same company deals with all these
things.
John:

What do you do with the supermarkets,

markets, the product shops, the
companies?

Arthur:

Many of them will dissapear. A

touchscreen installed in every dwelling,
used to drag products in the shopping
basket, with a friendly and easily accesible
graphic presentation, even for senior
people.
In maximum 20 minutes, the delivery
agent rings the doorbell, delivering the
products, clothes, food, cosmetics, etc.
In this way, most real shops will be
replaced with virtual shops. This thing has
already happened along with the revolution
of the Internet. Nevertheless, there will be
ultramodern malls, to satisfy the pleasure
of shopping.

John:

It means that most present jobs will

dissapear.

Arthur:

The bureaucracy will be very much

simplified, the things will become much
more simpler.

John:

That means that people will become

jobless!

Arthur:

I repet, this is a process which will take 2030 years, maybe more... it will take place
gradually. The future generations will
follow another pattern. It isn't normal that a
man should work 10 - 12 hours a day, as it
happens in the present system. 3 - 4 hours
a day are enough. People will have a
monthly target. Most products are already
manufacutured by robots. They are
cheaper, they work 24 hours and the
quality is much higher.
Most people have office or virtual jobs.
Virtually, they do nothing at all. They just
move some stamped papers and data.
These jobs will inevitably disappear, when
the computer replaces the bureaucracy.

52

But in the near future, the company will

create many workplaces. Someone must
make this system effective.
John:

OK, but what do you do with the

population in continuous growth? The
Earth cannot take so many billions of
people!

Arthur:

Here you must be more radical. In nature

here is a natural order which people have
broken.
The males, during the rut, fight one
another. The alpha male has the right to
spread the seed. In this way, the genetic
patterns are passed over further. This is the
natural selection!
Nowadays, the third world people, where
the education is very poor, procreate
excessively and those of the civilized
world hardly have any children.
This leads to a genetic degeneration and
implicitely to involution.

53

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

John:

You are right in what you are saying, but I

am scared of what you are going to say...
rasism, discrimination, the sterilization of
the population, murders... a new Hitler! I
don't even want to think about it!

Arthur:

Oh, it's not like this! The things could be

done much gentler. Not everyone shall
have the right to procreate.

John:

Oh!

Arthur:

But everybody is entitled to compete for

this right. A commission will grant this
right as a result of some exams, at the age
of 23. A good health, athletic condition,
intelligence, education, esthetic features.
The people with good genetic features get
the procreation permit and are allowed to
have 2-3 children. The rest of the
population gets sexual education about
how not to do it! No rasism, social
discriminations or absurd conditions. The
best people must procreate!

John:

Without sterilization?

54

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Arthur:

Without! The sexual secretions have a very

important role in the body. We cannot
intervene where we don't understand.

John:

And what do you do if a woman gets

pregnant accidentally? An abortion?!

Arthur:

The accident takes place if there is no

proper sexual education. The abortion is a
murder. The anticonceptional pills cause
all sorts of alterations inside the body,
including cancer. No abortion!

John:

And what do you do if it still happens? Do

you put her to jail? China has already tried
this system...

Arthur:

You don't put her to jail. The child is taken

by the authorities since the birth and raised
in the best conditions, receiving education
and a suitable environment where to be
raised. They will collect the milk from that
woman for a while and the child will be
fed on this milk, because the mother's milk
has irreplaceable qualities.

The parents don't have any kind of access

and won't know the identity of the baby. In
this way, nobody will be willing to have a
baby, as long as they cannot keep him/her.
The parents who have the right to
procreate will get from the state all sorts of
advantages and material support for raising
the child.
The population must be reduced to a
maximum of one billion individuals. And
we can get that naturally, after a few
generations.
One billion of educated, healthy people,
with good genes...
Anyone who would like to have been born
beautiful, intelligent and healthy, out of
beautiful, intelligent and healthy parents.
We have to give up to the idea that the
stupid is good as workforce. In a superior
system, the lack of education is a caries
that we cannot afford.
John:

Obviously, you are a new Hitler!

56

_____
Arthur:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Your solution was a virus which could

devour the masses or a world war... I am
much more peaceful than that. The planet
just cannot take so much population and
we get self-distroyed.
Those who rule the masses try to diminish
the population through the food full of
carcinogen additives viruses or laboratorygenerated diseases, such as HIV. In this
case we talk already about murder,
genocide.
In a way or the other we have to diminish
the number of population for surviving as
species. Either we diminish the number of
people to a billion individuals, or we
distroy the Earth, we have no choice. The
human race got out of control, procreated
excessively, killed the other animal
species, distroyed the ecosystems and it's
about to kill itself due to ignorance.
There must be a limit of birth rate and if
we just do that, we are going to improve it
from the genetic point of view, through
natural selection.

57

_____

A quality life with quality people. I agree

to transfer my right to procreate in the
favour of others, much better than me.
It is not like you refuse somebody the right
to live, on the contrary, you offer that child
the chance to a better life.
John:

And what do I do if I am a woman and I

want to have a child! What do I do with
my motherly instinct?!

Arthur:

If you want to have children, you'll know

that pretty soon. You take up sport, you
develop a good health and you take care of
your own education.
You acknowledge the fact that you have to
pass some tests. People are already used to
pass exams in the educational system...
If you want to procreate, you give up
smoking, alcohol, drugs, you don't eat junk
food, you take care of your health and your
physical condition, you cultivate your
inteligence and you build a balanced
psychology, you take special classes on
raising the children and you take exams.

58

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

If you don't pass them but, nevertheless,

you get a very good score, you have the
right to adopt one of the accidentally-born
children.
It is very primitive to have a child just
because your motherly instinct tells you so,
you also have take responsability for the
good of that child.

John:
Arthur:

It's all about a human being, not a toy. If

you cannot offer him/her a better life, don't
have him/her!
Nevertheless I find this a pretty extreme
method...
Unless you do that, you distroy the planet.
The population will expand exponentially
and the planet has a physical limit.
For thousand years, the population of the
Planet hasn't exceed one billion inhabitants
and the human influence over the
environment was infinitesimal.
During the last hundred, the population of
the Earth became excessive and during the
industrial revolution, the impact became
disastrous.

Population growth from one to over 10 billion citizens

a Population growth in third world countries
b Population growth in economically developed countries.

Saving the planet from from destruction is

a very serious and urgent problem and
people seem to ignore that entirely.
I would yield my right to procreate for
such a great cause: THE SALVATION OF
THE PLANET!
This is just my personal opinion and can
change several times throughout the time
especially if someone comes up with a
better solution. Do you have a better
solution? I am open to suggestions...

60

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

John:

Not really... Maybe an international law,

through which a family shouldn't be
allowed to have more than one child.

Arthur:

This could cause the diminution of the

population after a few generations, but the
Earth doesn't resist other 150 years, and
this law wouldn't support the genetic
evolution of the humanity.
People are in an entropic, involutive
process. We evolve technically, but we
involve physically and spiritually. If the
genes aren't good, there is no intelligence
and step by step, we experience the
involution to the monkey stade. The plant
develops, reaches the crest, produces
seeds, then enters the involution.
Evolution, summit, entropy, involution.
The only way to avoid the degeneration is
the selection of the most powerful
specimens.

John:

The idea of selection doesn't sound too

good to me...

Arthur:

People degenerate genetically, too. It's not

enough to diminish the number of the
population, we have to improve its quality.
It's an ethical decision.
The road we have followed so far has a
clear direction, we need a new road.

Life quality

Arthur:

People need recreation, need socializing,

need to have fun...
Every city shall have theatres, cinemas,
bars, clubs, libraries, gyms and recreation
centers. In the proximity of the cities there
will be parks and walking spaces. The
focus will be on the sport. The nature will
come to life and the concrete will be
replaced by plants. Recreational cities will
be built. A combination between
Disneyland and Las Vegas, aquaparks,
hippodrome... recreation for adults and for
the children... all the objectives you can
think of, in one place.
We have to encourage a lot the team
sports, the football, the basketball, the
tennis, etc. People need games and
challenges.

What do you do with the owners of the
present hotels, of the hotel chains?
The company will offer them very valuable
shares and their hotels will be replaced by
the new construction. The company will
buy with shares everything that exists so

What have you thought about the
educational system?
Here, the things are more complicated, the
system has to be entirely reviewed,
especially when we talk about the marking
methods and the exams. Today the
children learn out of fear, the fear to be
punished. 90% of the things they have to
memorize for the exam were

forgotten during the last two weeks. The

school is a constant stress.
We need much more interactive, much
more friendlier systems. The child has to
be encouraged to study something new, to
discover something new. The quantity of
futile information has to be reduced
considerably.
There are fields which we would have to
be very much focused on... the
introspective psychology, the personal
developpment, the self-knowledge, the
study of the causes of the human
unhappiness, the ego, the psychological
errors, the cultivation of the mental
positivism...
The present system needs programmed
robots to work in various fields. The child's
vocation is not focussed on. This is the
teachers' and the parents' duty. They have
to help the child to discover and to develop
their abilities.
The vocation gives birth to geniuses.
So, the entire educational system should be
reviewed.

What do you do with the churches, the

They don't have to be distroyed. Peoples
freedom to think should be maintained.
I don't believe in God and I think that the
religions are some useless lies. Too many
murders have been carried out in the name
of the religion!
Religions aren't evil. They all have the
same core. They all provide the same
truth. The problem is that the form under
which that truth is provided is
unappropriate for nowadays. The form was
appropriate for the times of their birth. The
people's intellect has since developed.
They haven't become much wiser... but
more intellectual.
Most of them read these texts ad literam
and it is normal not to believe in such
primitive things anymore. Those who
believe in them seem to be strange, fanatic.

There are also the financial-politic interests

of the religious lines and it is normal that
people shouldn't believe in God anymore.
The religious doctrine killed the
spirituality.
Nevertheless, Darwin has no fanatic
followers anymore. There are no accidental
things in nature.
Studying the macrocosmos and the
microcosmos, you realize that the nature is
almost perfect.
You cannot ignore that, behind this
miracle, called life, there is intelligence.
The atheism is outdated, the theism is
outdated, the pantheism is outdated. How

Materialism and ignorance!

The globalization is a trend which cannot

A century ago, it took 3 years to reach

Chinese!
Only one government rules the world, even
though there is still the illusion of
independence.
The company will own almost all the

always be justified, not the army's.
If there is no overproduction anymore, if
we use fossil fuels no more, if there are
hidden interests no more...

Any tyrant ends killed by the people!

Various forms of dictatureship, slavery,
socialism, communism were tested... But
the most performant one is the Capitalism.
You can fight against a system you aren't
free in, but against a system where you are
free, you have no choice... you cannot
fight!
The things you are afraid to happen, are
already happening, under your very nose.
And what to do, should we exchange one
type of dictatureship for another?!
Admit it! People have never been truly
free. Too many naives died for this word...
freedom didn't and will never exist!
Oh, what a disturbing truth! I don't even
know if I can accept it...
Free your mind! He who has a free mind is
free even in prison. Nevertheless, we don't
discuss about a system where people enjoy
a utopic freedom, we discuss about a
solution to save the Earth!
But if I want to live ouside the system?! To

The safety
John:

The world we live in is very

insecure...earthquakes, hurricanes, car
accidents, crashing planes, viruses, nuclear
armament, a planet which can clash with
ours, a black hole, a meteorite. You try to
foresee everything, you try to build a
perfect system, in an insecure world, with
imperfect people. Perfection doesn't exist!

Arthur:

Perfection doesn't exist, but this doesn't

mean that we don't have to aim at it. When
a young man rides drunk in 2 tons of metal
and drives crazily on the road, faster than
his gardian angel can fly... we can say that
it was God's will to take him, but I would
say that his own stupidity paid off.

the impact of an explosion or to be
fireproof.

John:

But there is a higher danger which has to

What would that be?
Once every 11 years, the sun, which is an
active star, changes its magnetic field.
During this process there are very powerful
bursts. These particles flow with an
incredible speed and reach the Earth in less
than one day.
Most particles travel at a speed higher than
the speed of light and as they are part of
the 4th dimenssion, they don't have a
considerable interactaction with the
particles of our world. Those to interact
therewith are pushed by the atmospheric
shield towards the poles

and they result in the beautiful aurora

borealis.
Nevertheless, think about the earth as
about a basket ball and imagine that you
apply a layer of lacquer on this ball... so
thin is the atmosphere.
John:

But it is strong enough. For hundreds of

millions years it has successfully protected
us against the solar radiations.

Arthur:

n 1989 a magnetic storm caused a

breakdown to the Hydro-Quebec network
leaving 6 million Canadians in darkness.
In 2003 a similar storm burned the electric
transformers in South Africa.

John:

This would mean that if a little stronger

storm hit the Earth nowadays, the GPS
triangulation network the TV satellites, the
mobile telephony, the automated teller
machines, the hospitals... all would be
affected.

A magnetic storm, strong enough, would

cause us to go back to the Middle Age
overnight and we would need 5 years to
succeed in covering the damages. We
reached a point where the lack of electricity
is incompatable with survival. 90% of the
money are digital, the card is a useless
plastic, the drinking water is pumped by
electric pumps, the gasoline pump and the
heat system don't work, 80% of the food are
frozen. The people lack food and water....
they don't even have a place where to go to
the toilet.
I would take a cow for myself and would
retreat at the countryside, to live as my
grandmother used to.
How would you reach the village? Where
would you take the cow from? The last
generations were born in the city, don't have
properties at the contryside, they only know
how to take food from the supermarket. It's
not possible for billions of people to go back
to nature and to wait for the autumn crop. It
would be an anarchy starting from day 3,
during the next week the first murders would
take place and within a month you would
forget that you had ever lived in a civilized
world.

People would turn into animals. Fear can

do that.
The explosion is imminent and we play
with the detonating fuse, thinking that
nothing could happen.
John:

Is there any solution? You want to gather

10,000 people in one building. Have you
thought about that?

Arthur:

Yes, I have! The possibility of such a

catastrophy has to be taken into account
ever since the project stage. The electric
network of the buildings must be built so
as one could replace it entirely within
maximum 24 hours. It's just a matter of
intelligent design and a great number of
people previously trained for taking
measures in such a case.
The building must be designed so as to
resist very high magnitudes quakes, fires
and explosions.

77

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

We have to take also into account the wear

caused by the natural factors and the
ageing of the materials, the wear caused by
the human factor and the moral wear. We
have to stop building only for trade
purposes. Everything has to reach
perfection.
John:

But there are more dangerous calamities

which can appear, the nature is turning day
by day against us.

Arthur:

Today, when such calamities take place,

the army give a helping hand and the
humanitarian organizations raise clothes
and food. We pay insurances to the
companies which, in case of disaster,
dissapear along with the money. We have
to set up organizations to instruct the
masses exactly how to behave in case of
natural or artificial calamities.
A large number of people have to be
trained to intervene promptly to remedy
the situation as quickly as possible.

The spare parts of the transport, electricity,

water, sewage, food systems have to built
and stored. Their replacement has to be
possible in a very short period of time.
We became addicted to all these elements.
Even though considered conveniences a
100 years ago, they became indispensable
for our survival. That's what I call an
insurance company.
Clothes warehouses, unperishable food,
water, medicines for one year. In the
proximity of the cities very strong bunkers
must be also built, full of very small
honecomb-style dwellings equipped with
beds to accommodate a large number of
people. The water supply, the hygene, the
food and the pandemic situations.
John:

That requires a lot of money and the state

will never invest in such a thing.

79

It's not the state, but the company which

will build these bunkers. People may buy a
shelter against an amount of 3,000 Euro
and can pay an insurance, the same way
they are paying at present.
But they are assured that, in the event of a
calamity, they will be really insured. In
this way, people will pay for the safety of
their lives and the company will get a good
profit.

Chapter 11
Simplification

John:

It seems so easy when you talk about this...

you know very well that is no that easy!

Arthur:

People are in the bad habit of complicating

things. They find what is complicated
more interesting. That's why the
bureaucratic system appeared.
But we have to learn how to simplify life.
We are born naked, nameless, without any
obligations, without personality. A tiny
body and a lot of potential. Then, we begin
to complicate our own lives...school,
faculty, exams, jobs, duties.
The only real duty that we have is to be
happy. It's the only thing that we really
have to do in life!

81

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

The inner peace is the cleanest form of the

happiness. 90% of the people are unable to
grasp the deep significance of this
sentence. People sacrifice hapiness for any
reason. I sacrifice my hapiness because I
have to study for the exam. I sacrifice my
hapiness because I have to earn more
money. I sacrifice my hapiness for my
children.
I sacrifice my hapiness for a nice house. I
sacrifice my hapiness for an aim. I
sacrifice my hapiness because today I am
very busy. I don't have time, I have too
many things to do. Living in the modern
society means making sacrifices.
Diogene lived in a barrel and he was
happy. Of course, I don't invite anyone to
live among lags! What I say is that life
should be simplified.
John:

Yes, but the complexity of the present

world means intellectual revolution. Are
you against the progress and the
education? Look how much we did during
the last hundred years!

82

_____
Arthur:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

The technological revolution is a wondeful

thing. We are living extraordinary times.
You press a button and you take a hot
shower. A 100 years ago, you were
carrying wood from the forest to light the
fire...We have gadgets, long-distance
communication systems. It's incredible!
With a small device you can talk to
someone on another continent in real time.
It is extraordinary!
Nevertheless, the price is too high!

John:

What price?!

Arthur:

The waste of the cognitive abilities and the

distruction of the planet, the environmental
genocide.

John:

I understand what you mean about the

distruction of the planet, but I don't see
what you mean when you refer to the
waste of the cognitive abilities. The
thinking has evolved!

Arthur:

The intellect has evolved!

83

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

John:

And is this a bad thing?!

Arthur:

You must understand thoroughly the

universe of the human mind, in order to get
what I mean!

John:

But I undestand it! I think, so I exist! The

more I think, the better!

Arthur:

My dear John, the intellect is a pretty

modest faculty of knowledge.
The intellect receives information from the
five senses of external perception, sight,
hearing, smell, taste and touch. It processes
this piece of information, compares it with
what it is known, classifies it and
memorizes it.
It is good to make mathematic
calculations, to fill in invoices, to learn
poems...

John:

So, what isn't he good at?

Arthur:

At the rest!

84

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

John:

Meaning...?!

Arthur:

You cannot compose a song with the

intellect. You cannot make art. You cannot
love intellectually. The intuition doesn't
belong to the intellect, the imagination
doesn't belong to the intellect, the
inspiration doesn't belong to the intellect.
Can you follow me?!

John:

Up to a certain point!

Arthur:

The Imagination, the Inspiration, the

Intuition are the drives of the creative
understanding. Without them, nothing new
can be born. The emotional intelligence is
a superior ability.
It's true that we developped the intellect a
lot. But the abilities of the consciousness
have been diminished. The sense of selfobservation, the oneiric memory etc.

John:

And how is this affecting us? Gives me a

real example!

Arthur:

To be conscious means to be present. Here

and now!

85

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

John:

That's right!

John:

Please do!

Arthur:

What's the daily percentage of the human

mind which is anchored in the present?
Express your opinion!

John:

I don't know... 10%... less, 3-5%...

Arthur:

Exactly!

John:

And was is it so serious?!

Arthur:

Because happiness appears only when

you're present.
Happiness is a consequence of the wake
consciousness.

John:

I have never thought about these things!

Arthur:

If you make love and you think elsewhere

are you happy?

Arthur:

Happiness and pleasure are different

things!

John:

Apparently, yes, they are! That doesn't

mean that pleasure is a bad thing!

Arthur:

I haven't said that! Nevertheless, happiness

is the treasure that all people groan for.

John:

Yes, that's what the religions sell! The

promise of an eternal happiness. What a
fantasy!!!

Arthur:

John the Atheist! How do you find the idea

of Heaven here, on the Earth?! Making of
your life an oasis of happiness...?

John:

Much more real!

Arthur:

When you smell a flower, lay on the beach,

enjoy a massage, laugh with your friends...
what should you think about?!
87

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

John:

I got the idea. You are happy only when

you are present! The awake consciousness.

Arthur:

And you said that people are present in

their life 3-5% of the time! That means that
for the rest of the time....

John:

They are stressed, busy, preoccupated,

identified, even unhappy... it's sad!

Arthur:

That's right!

John:

What you're saying is extraordinary!

Arthur:

Thank you!

John:

Nevertheless, ... What has this got to do

with our discussion regarding a perfect
system?!

Arthur:

The way of thinking creates the

circumstances of your life. You are what
you think! The inside is the outside, as
Kant was saying.... Do you agree with
these assertions?

John:

Yes. It's kind of logical...

Arthur:

Kind of...?

88

_____

John:

I admit it, it's not very clear to me!

Arthur:

What's the difference between an average

man and a highly successful man? Both of
them have two hands and a liver...

John:

The way of thinking!

Arthur:

The people of the present society have a

wrong way of thinking. Their mental
condition works in a wrong manner. You
cannot have a perfect system, if the parts
of the system are broken.

John:

Arthur, do you want to change the

mentality of the masses?! You know very
well that this is impossible!

Arthur:

Nothing is impossible, you just have to

know how to do it.

John:

And how can you do it?

Arthur:

Fashion, trend,
suggestion...

John:

That means that you manipulate people!

advertising,

subtlety,

89

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Arthur:

They are already manipulated. Place them

a TV set in the room and you have already
attracted all their attention.

John:

Yes, I have noticed that!

Arthur:

Instead of TV garbage, reality show and

entertainment, quality things can be
broadcast. The message will be delicately
induced, nobody wants to be educatedy by
force. Of course, people will touch only a
surface level... wisdom is not for everyone.
The educational system must be changed.
We have to find attractive solutions, by
which children would wish to learn, not to
be forced to.

John:

Children are very fond of computer games.

What if, in the key moments of the
successful virtual games, some intelligence
questions would be asked to them and they
would have to solve psychological or
perspicacity tests?

90

_____

Arthur:

Yes, it seems to me a good idea. In this

way, they will search for the answers, but
for their own purposes, without being
forced to.

John:

This is applicable for the new generations.

What about the old ones?

Arthur:

The fashion, the trend, the pattern, the

idea, the imitation, the contiguous
behaviour, adaptability...

John:

Yes, the present system is very defective

and people are very much involved in it...

Arthur:

That's why I want to make it easier. Food,

clothes and shelter. These are the bare
necessities of the human being. So let's
make them very accesible and of good
quality!
The society should provide them to you in
exchange for 3 hours of work a day. If you
want to travel, more money, to have fun...
you are free to make another effort.

Chapter 12
The system
John:
Arthur:

John:

Arthur:

The stress is the disease of the modern

society.
Too many opinions from all over the place,
too many concepts, too much competition,
too much fear. Let's make life simpler.
Too many advertisments! 100 companies
manufacturing the same item. Full hours of
commercials for detergents or sweets.
This gives you the false impression that you
have more free will, that you can choose... In
fact, you swallow whatever you are forced
to, as long as it is packed with style and
elegance. The Communism had a good part.
Unfortunately, they made abuse of power
and hindered too much the peoples freedom.
People need to think freely! They need
respect!

John:

Yes, but during the comunism, there was no

question of overproduction. There was just
one type of sugar delievered in the right
quantity.... meaning not very much!

92

_____
Arthur:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

The company should own the monopole

by means of quality and very low prices.
Here we have to deal with a real issue. The
sole monopole determines, sooner or later,
the abuse over the consumer. And this is
because of the ego. When you are the only
one who offers a product on the market,
you can impose the prices at your will.
When there is competition, you question
the problem of the quality... but there are
overproduction and useless waste of time
and energy.
For instance, in the years 1500-1800, the
durability and the quality were priorities.
The Templers and the francmasons built
Gothic cathedrals, art and architecture
masterpieces which have withstood and
will withstand a long time. The focus on
details, the patience and the perfection....
it's amazing!
When they did one thing that was a longlasting one!

93

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Along with the technological revolution,

another type of commerce appeareddeliberately designed short-life products.
The company manufacturing bulbs started
to invest a lot of money in research for
making them burn out after a certain
period of time.
The physical ageing of the products has
been replaced by the moral wear. Nothing
is built to last anymore. The consumpionoriented society was born.
John:

The moral wear has also a positive side the technological evolution. We have
gadgets which are more and more
performant!

Arthur:

It's true, but they are built with very rare

and difficult-to-extract materials, materials
which are difficult to recycle. We have
graves of cars, heaps of electronics,
rubbish tips. Everything expires fast. We
use oil to make roads, plastic,
rubber...Commodities, rapidly worn from
the moral point of view, require many
natural ressources.

94

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

John:

We should recycle more...

Arthur:

When you manufacture an object you

should consider how much energy you use
for manufacturing and recycling it and the
level of pollution generated by that object
globally. It has to be packed, transported,
commercialized, including the advertising
campaign.
The researchers have to think more about
the durability, the reduction of the moral
wear and the use of easily-recyclable
materials to manufacture the household
appliances.
The problem is that if the company which
builds highways, for example, would make
the highway last 100 years, it wouldn't
have anything else to do after the road has
been ready. If we have to asphalt every
two years, the company will get constant
incomes. That's the price of privatization.

John:

Well, so what to do with the market

economy?

95

_____
Arthur:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

The economy?! I don't think it could be a

worse chosen term. The word "economy"
refers to saving, and the construction of the
present system refers to consumption!
The Gross Domestic Product - GDP refers
to the value of the commercialised
products. The higher it is, the higher is the
abuse over the natural resources.
The people enjoy when they hear that we
have an economic raise of x% or the
medicine represents x% of the GDP. That
implies disease and mortality, the flu
viruses launched on the market and the
sold medicines, sexual diseases such as
candida and chlamydia introduced in drugs
and foods.
The civilized society means to have two
jobs, bank loans, installments and debts.
The more advanced the "economy" is, the
lower the citizens' liberty is, the higher the
stress level and more complicated life is.

John:

n 20 years the population of the planet

will probably reach 10 billion.

96

_____
Arthur:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Not if something is done now. The first

step is to sign an international treaty, by
which the population has no right to have
more than one child.
What happens to those who break the law
we have already discussed.
The child is raised by the state or given to
adoption to another family. And after 10
years the Law of the Evolution should be
signed, by which people receive the right
to procreate, as a result of some exams.
Massive sexual educational campaigns
should be initiated.
The present system promotes the natality
because the young workforce means
financial profit.
The young are taxed and pay all sorts of
installments.
On the other hand, they sickens the
population by the food based on additives,
to shorthen the average life expectancy.

97

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Any senior citizens means financial losses.

The colon cancer is a blessing for the
system which doesn't have to pay pensions
anymore.
The pension system is a murderer left free.
The young have to carry the old. If people
were smart enough to save money for their
own old age, nobody would be interested
in killing them anymore. The money you
pay monthly for the pension can be saved
in a bank deposit with an interest.
The problem is that we are so unconscious
and greedy that we wouldn't save anything.
It's easier if that amount is cut off monthly
from our salary.
The second murderer left free is the
insurance system. If you have no health
insurance, we'll let you die. If you have
health insurance, we'll find a legal gap to
let you die!
These monsters are based on fear and the
unconsciousness of people.

98

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Any intelligent man will save money and

won't wait for being saved when needed by
the murderer.
In a perfect system, we can think of the
quality, not quantity. Beautiful, intelligent,
genetically endowed, healthy, happy, longliving people.
In a world with a billion inhabitants, where
the work is done mostly by robots, the
planet isn't abused anymore.
A world where the daily necessities are
easy to get and life becomes a pleasure.
This is the world we have to leave to our
descendants.
John:

The people are lied to through lingvistic

tricks, abstract terms and social life models
whose depth I cannot understand. We live
according to the social fashion. Imitatus!

Arthur:

Another aberration of the present and

paradoxal system, the stock exchange is
the place where we get a lot of money
from.

99

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

The stock exchange doesn't produce

absolutely anything. There the shares are
traded, the money is traded, even the
interests, the debts are traded. Huge profits
are obtained by manipulating money.
They say that two economists walking
along a road saw a certain digestion
product of animal origin from a dog. The
first told the other one that if the latter ate
some of it, he would offer him 1,000 Euro.
For 1,000 Euro, the greedy economist did
it!
Continuing the road, they saw a natural
digestion product of a cow... To diminish
the shame, the latter told the former that he
gave him 1,000 Euro if he ate some of it,
too.
Craving by nature, thinking how to get
back the loss... he did it. The scene
repetead several times with larger and
larger amounts of many. Then silence....
One of the economists, after a mental
calculation, says:

100

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

- I gained and I lost nothing... - That's

true! - Well, that means that we eat that
dirt for nothing?! -Yes, but we had a
footing of 100,000 Euro!
John:

I don't understand the monetary system

very well.

Arthur:

The monetary system can be explained

very easily. The federal bank has the right
to make monetary mass without coverage
in gold, coloured papers, which it borrows
to the state against an interest. That means
that every borrowed dollar has attached a
certain percentage of the debt. Since they
have only the right to print money, how
can the interest be paid?

John:

With other money, printed by them... It

cannot be paid!

Arthur:

Exactly! the banks grant loans to people, to

companies, to multinationals, to countries.
It's called financial aid from the part of the
World Bank to stabilize the economy and
the currency. Up to a certain extent, when
the mother bank says:OK, we want the
money that you owe us! "...

101

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

And the financial crisis starts! Prices rise,

taxes rise, life becomes impossible, and the
companies, the corporations, the banks go
bankrupt and are bought by the mother
bank at a very low price or just seized.
The countries have no capital to pay with
and once they backed with the natural
ressources, they are exhausted by the
parasitic companies. Oil, gold, forests...
All this robbery and the taxes you pay
come in the ownership of 1% of the
world's population, to those on the top of
the pyramid. This is the monetary system
and this is the main reason for commiting
suicide as a species.
John:

Well, in this case, why do you consider

that anyone would agree that your plan
should be implemented? All those who
own oil business are interested in the
failure of this plan.

Arthur:

It's not true! The oil ressources of the

planet are exausted rapidly, in 10 years the
oil corporations will go bankrupt, because
of the lack of ressources.

102

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Those who control them are entirely

interested in investing in a profitable
business.
That's what ensures them a future profit.
The ecologic shares of the company will
be bought by those who own financial
capital.
As the access cannot be done easily and
lasts 15-20 years until the construction of
the new system they are not endangered at
all.
They are earning money now and they earn
money then. The only condition for
success is that the plan should be very well
regulated and to secure the success.
The company won't afford to badly build.
The perishability of the works would mean
financial losses for them.
Once the appartments sold, the company
will gain from their supply with electricity,
transport, commerce and services. In this
way, the useless consumption of the world
ressources will dissapear.

103

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

John:

But people will never be free from this sick

system of manipulating money.

Arthur:

We are on the verge of the collapsing. If

this system fails, we will dissapear as
species, so we don't have any choice. In 10
years, the population of the planet will
grow progressively and the natural
ressources will be exhausted. Then the
only profitable instrument will be war.
The dominant nations will attack the Arab
countries one by one, under the pretext of
owning nuclear weapons, until the entire
quantity of oil there will be over. Then,
they will plan the third world war.
And don't believe that those on the top of
the pyramid won't engage it. They have
done that twice before, they make no
remorses about it. The first two were
sustained and controlled by financing both
parties. The third one will escape the
control. And they will distroy the planet.

John:

So, the only solution is that this plan

should succeed.

104

_____
Arthur:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

If it works, the financial independence of

people will come up naturally. The system
has a psysical boundary. The debt cannot
be ever paid, it's impossible. If they tried to
pay for it, there would be no money left on
the planet. The raise of the debt will
inevitably reach an abnormal point. The
system will inevitably collapse and will
have to be replaced by another one.
If we succeed in making this change within
maximum 10 years, with a little bit of a
luck, we can rehabilitate the situation and
start the recovery of the planet. Massive
afforestations, the repopulation of the
planet with animals, the recovery of the
types of agricultural plants......

John:

If the mankind were more unselfish and

there weren't always someone to become
rich...

Arthur:

The mental condition isn't pure. This is a

truth! It is corrupted. Its illness is called
ego.
The ego isn't a unit, but a multiplicity:
Anger, Greed, Pride, Fear, Envy, Laziness,
etc.
105

_____

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

In a perfect system, in which no one would

like to be extremely rich, everybody would
live in abundance, with a minimum effort.
The earth has plenty of ressources and
theoretically this thing is possible, even
though this is a utopia...

John:
Arthur:

For 5,000 years, the majority suffers from

the greed of the leading minority. People
din not learn that they have to be superior
by what they offer, not by what they take!
Only the boxers teach their children that's
better to give than to take!
So the mankind deserves its destiny!
We have already decided that we don't
have to be so radical. If God still bears
with us, we will try to mend what we have.
The only solution is to determine the rich
to become well-meaning.
I don't hate rich people, I am one of them.
It is a saying that says: "everybody
complains about money, but nobody
complains about mind". It is not the poor
who will save the planet... the rich ones
will do that!

John:

If they do that!

Chapter 13
The last book

Arthur:

I have seen many live television programs,

documentaries, interviews, articles on
environmental issues.
Everybody agrees that it's very serious and
that we are on the verge of the abyss. But
the solutions offered are pretty common or
utopical. Use economy bulbs, recycle the
garbage, plant a tree, ride a bike or go on
foot, use the means of transport, respect
the animals' right to live, have compassion.
It's like you gave a man in the middle of
the ocean energy drinks. You'll drown
yourself eventually, but at least you can
swim a little bit more!

John:

They are good solutions... Better than

nothing...

_____

These solutions have been offered for more

than 20 years, and the results are
insignificant. We make some politics, we
wear a suit and we sign another
treaty....We cut more trees to write about
ecology than we really plant.
The state sets pollution taxes on the cars'
emissions and what does it do with the
money raised?

John:

The truth is that we just throw the dice on

the timed bomb!

Arthur:

We aren't anymore on the point of

sweeping the garbage under the mat or
trying to mend the sack.
We need some radical measures. The
solution is not to do something at
individual level, as the ecologists advise us
to do.
People change something when the change
is imposed to them by the system.

John:

The state will never do anything in this

respect. The president of the country is just
a puppet on a string.

_____

It's very true. That's why, the only solution

is a private corporation to unify the
financial force of the most powerful people
of the planet, offering them a safe profit
and a secure job.
We don't mend anything anymore. We
build from the scrap and we build
responsibly! We build new and we
demolish what's old.

John:

Do you really think that there is going to

be a man with such an initiative?

Arthur:

Yes, that man will be practically the

saviour of this planet. I am sure that
everyone who will read my book will ask
the question: Couldn't I be the one?!''. I
hope that man decides very soon.

John:

Do you think that there is still time left?

Arthur:

The corporation should move very fast and

expand at a global level rapidly. The
constructions will begin simultaneously. It
will last one year to form the specialists
team, to sell the shares and

the construction of the prefabricated

products factories. If they choose this
architectural model, 10,000 similar cities
are necessary to move 90% of the world's
population. They must also build the
ecologic transport network.
John:

All the world's population? But those of

the third world cannot afford an
appartment of 20,000 Euro. They starve to
death.

Arthur:

The project has to be finished within 20

years, the planet doesn't have too much
time left. The project means lot of
workplaces in the construction field for the
poor population. Cheap workforce. That
will allow them to raise enough money to
buy an appartment. Then, 10 years more to
gather all the garbage left. That will solve
the issue of starvation on this planet.

John:

What happens to the shareholders? The

people who will become very rich due to
this project?... Do you move them in the
same appartments? There will always be
social differences.

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

Arthur:

That involves the existance of some

ecologic luxury residential complexes for
the high class population. 10% of the
world's population.

John:

Arthur, we have been talking here for

hours. It's a great plan, but let's be realistic.
it's utopical! If you hope that something
like that can become true, you must be a
real dreamer.

Arthur:

Any man who has 500,000 Euro can

launch this project. The first step is to set
up a corporation. The second step is to
gather a team of geniuses to plan this work
in details. The third step is to sell the
shares and to build the factories. 20 years
are enough to change the earth's surface. I
am very optimistic and I believe in a bright
future for the mankind.

John:

It was a pleasant conversation. You won't

publish your plans and the people won't
wake up, not even because of the
hurricanes. It's late. We are two dreamers
over a glass of wine. One of us is more
realistic.

_____
Arthur:

Robert Ionescu - This book can save the Earth

_____

We must do that! Our planet has enough

ressources for all the people to live
decently, in health and comfort. We are
intelligent enough to do that. If not,
thousands of years of evolution stop here,
because we won't have where to live
anymore. This is the last card to play.
We play everything on it. Either the bright
future, or the apocalipse. We will surely
succeed, if we start this very day.

John:

I am going to bed, thank you for the wine.

You should take a rest, too.

Arthur:

I am going to write the book...

If you have a good opinion about the solutions I

have provided and you wish to give this plan a
chance, think of a financially powerful person , able
to implement this project and offer him/her this
book as a gift.
