Beading Supplies & Beading Storage for the Disorganized Beader Having a wealth of beading supplies means a need for

beading storage. You've gathered all the goodies you need to get busy beading, but now you need to get organized. You can find bead storage solutions here but these are some of my storage solutions: Looking for some small bead storage containers? You can go the purchased mini container route with products like: • Lock-Ups Storage Containers which are stackable with twist-lock lids • Loew Cornel Acrylic Storage Cups with tab lids • Beadalon-Stack Drawers which are durable, stackable, and detachable • Creative Options Swivel Stacker which turns on a wooden lazy susan and features six slots to hold jar stackers Or you can go the green route and use stuff you might already have around the house to store your beading supplies: • Collect baby food jars. Every mother knows the value of baby food jars. They're clear, seal well, and last forever. They even look pretty full of beads sitting on a shelf (especially if you paint the lids). More beading ideas can be found here. • Recycle those resealable plastic food containers and baby wipe boxes. They come in lots of shapes and sizes and are great for storing beads or even your beading tools and projects. • Wash out your prescription pill bottles and reuse them. These bottles work nicely since the same childproof cap that kept the kids out of the medicine also keeps your beads from spilling everywhere. For seed bead patterns click here. • In this digital camera age, do you still have a few film canisters? They aren't clear, but you can write on them with a permanent pen to identify the contents, and the lids stay on securely. • Save those mint, gum, and candy tins. They're the perfect size for bead storage. • Want to sort some beads out in one place? Try a foam egg carton. It's got room for twelve different beads in one container. Plus, you're keeping that container out of the landfill. • Get some resealable sandwich bags. They come in all kinds of great sizes and are perfect for storing anything from your beads to a beading board plus your work-inprogress. • Got an old spice rack with the nice glass bottles? Turn it into a bead rack. Need beading storage on a larger scale? The organizers made specifically for beads are wonderful, but you can also check out the hardware stores, home stores, and department stores for tackle boxes, toolboxes, and stackable storage containers. All of them should feature cell/compartment boxes that make great beading storage containers. Hoping for organized travel beading storage? How about a bag to take it all with you (even if your trip is just from the closet to the dining table)? There are some great beading totes out there in every size and shape imaginable. Some of them even feature removable sectional trays for bead storage, pockets for organizing your beading

necessities, and wheels to help you get where you're going. Just look for a sturdy tote, in the size you need, with the features you want. And imagine how much satisfaction you'll feel when you've got all of your beading supplies organized with the perfect beading storage containers. All your beading buddies are sure to be jealous! You can also find more bead designs here.
