greens

Learning Activity
#2

Smart board activities

Draw a connecting line between the word and picture
match
Activity 2: Green Actions

green, growing green)
Activity 6: Name that green stuff
Drag and drop the appropriate description in the box

Activity 7: Name that green stuff
Circle the description titles the students think are
appropriate
All titles are fitting. There can be many descriptions for
each object
Have students think about the different names they
could use, they can give descriptions based on looks,
sounds, appearance, actions, categories, feeing, etc.
All students should be given a turn on these tasks
Remind students to be respectful and not to shout out
an answer. Everyone gets a turn.
Collage pages for the classroom book The color green
Students will construct a green collage on paper which will
contribute to a classroom GREEN book; using paint, pencil
crayon, markers, crayons, fabric, ribbon, etc.
Pages need to lay flat because they will be laminated

Learning Activity
#3

Teacher Notes:
Assessments/
Differentiation

Students will write a word to describe their green collage

page. (same idea as illustrated in the book Green).
The key to making the best collage is using lots of
materials, covering the whole page, and having stuff
overlap.
Avoid students from rushing, encourage sketching with
pencil first.
Circulate the room and encourage students to expand
on their ideas.
