It should not be allowed inmates internet connections.

Nowadays, we can find all over the places arguments and counterarguments against the
human rights of inmates. Despite those positions, there are certain prerogatives that cannot be
denied to a person no matter where they are. But one benefit that should be lost when you are an
inmate is the use of the internet. An inmate should be banned of having internet facilities because of
several reasons, among which can be mentioned: it would decrease officers employment, could be
a situation difficult to control, or the inmate could re-injured his victim.
In the first place, if the inmates receive internet opportunities instead of the regular mail, it
would reduce the employment of the officers. When an regular mail is sent in or out of prison, many
officers need to work so this mail arrived his destination. If internet access is granted to inmates, the
the work would be less because just a few officers are needed to monitor those emails
In addition, the police department would not have control of the massive income/outcome emails. To put it differently, police officers could not be able to prevent coding messages between
inmates and outsiders. Or maybe they could take long periods of time reviewing and decoding those
letters which can result in a lost of time, that they cannot afford to lose.
On the other hand, if an inmate receives internet facilities, he could re-injure his victim. If
an prisoner got caught trying to hurt somebody or just for blackmailing someone, he could try to
reach his prior victim over the internet, and try once again his stunt. Is like Kevin Johnson quoted
from Andy Kahan Its like getting (harmed) all over again. The precinct cannot protect those
potential victims of those potential attacks.
