Student Technology Conference: Connecting the World, One Student at a Time
!!

NEW YORK, November 18, 2014 Marymount School of New Yorks Student Technology
Leadership Team is pleased to announce the 2015 Student Technology Conference a free,
virtual event that brings students from around the world to discuss technology in their
schools, global collaborations, and opportunities for innovative learning. Developed in
conjunction with schools around the world, this virtual conference is the first student-led
endeavor of its kind. The conference will be held online on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from
9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST.

!Conference Mission Statement

The 2015 Student Technology Conference provides an international forum for the
presentation, discussion, and sharing of education technology best practices in schools and
other academic settings. This conference, by students and for all, is committed to:

Fostering a better understanding of how students use technology in education and to
engage students, teachers and administrators in a conversation about technology.

Assisting teachers and administrators in understanding how students use technology
both in and out of the classroom.

Strengthening the relationship between students, teachers, and administrators about
technology in the classroom.

!All of the presentations and keynotes will be by students. Our network of student tech teams,
in conjunction with educational consultants Steve Hargadon and Lucy Gray, has done all the
planning for this conference. The call for proposals is now open and the conference website
is: studenttechnologyconference.com.
