THIS BOOK BELONGS TO:
A long time ago there lived a pious and respected man called Imran (Allah
be pleased with him). His wifes name was Hannah (Allah be pleased with
her). Imran and Hannah had not been blessed with children. They prayed to
Allah every day because they knew that Allah listens to those who pray to
Him.
After some time, Imran and Hannahs
prayers were accepted. Hannah was now expecting a baby and was very happy and thankful to Allah. She made an intention to offer
her child for the service of the Holy Temple
of Jerusalem after it grew up.
Allah blessed Imran and Hannah with a baby
girl and they named her Maryam (peace be upon her). Hannah kept her
promise and gave Maryam to the Holy Temple. Zakariyya (peace be upon
him) was the uncle of Maryam and Head of the Holy Temple. He was chosen
to take care of Maryam. Maryam grew up to be a very religious young girl
who used to worship Allah all the time in a chamber. She became known to
be very pious and pure amongst the people. Allah rewarded her by providing
her with delicious fruit from the Unseen, out of season. When Zakariyya
asked her, Maryam, where did you get this fruit from? She said, It is
from Allah. He gives most generously to whoever He wills. Then, one day,
something very special happened. The Angel Jibrail (peace be upon him)
came to Maryam and said, I have been sent to you by Allah to give you
the good news that you will have a righteous son. She replied, How can
I have a child when I am not married? Angel Jibrail went on to say,
When Allah decides something, He makes it happen. He is the AllPowerful.
When the time of birth came, Maryam was very worried. There was a
pious person called Yusuf al Najjar (Joseph he Carpenter) and was related
to Maryam. When he noticed the signs of pregnancy on Maryam, he was
confused and asked Maryam, I am going to ask you a question, do not be
quick in replying.
Could there be a plant or tree without a seed or a child without a father? She replied, Yes! The
first plant and tree which God created was
without a seed. The answer to
the second question is that Allah created
Adam, not only without a father,
but without a father and mother.
Yusuf understood that this birth would be
amazing miracle. From Yusufs questions

A famous story about the disciples is when they requested Prophet Isa to ask Allah to send down a
table of food from heaven. Prophet Isa stood up and prayed to Allah. Prophet Isas prayer was accepted and Allah sent down a red table between two clouds. People were staring at it in wonder.
Prophet Isa prayed, sat by the table and removed the cover. They were all surprised to see the table
full of food; a huge
fish without bones was in the middle and different
types of vegetables
set around it. Salt and vinegar was placed at its
head and five types of
bread near its tail. Upon one bread were placed
five pomegranates,
dates were upon another, olives upon a third,
cheese upon a fourth
and eggs on the fifth. One of the disciples,
Shamun, asked, Is
this food that of paradise or the food of this
world? Prophet Isa
replied," This is food specially created for you; it
is neither from paradise or this world. Allah said to it, Be and so it
was. The people ate
from the table for forty days. Prophet Isa still
carried on spreading
Allahs message to the people. Allah gave him the
power to perform
many miracles, to try to convince them, and also
just to help: he cured
the sick, gave sight to those who were born blind
and even brought some dead people back to life! All of this was through Allahs power, but the people
still did not accept. Instead they said, It is all magic.
Some people
Prophet Isa did not give up; he continued to spread the true message to his peomistakenly think that
ple. He also told the people to expect another prophet after him, whose name would Prophet Isa died on
the cross. We can

really happened in a
nice way. He was
raised up to the
heavens, where he is
still alive,and will
return to this world
before the Day of
Judgement.
After sometime, Prophet Isa became more famous and people began to accept his
message. The leaders of the time became so worried now that they wanted to kill
him. One day, soldiers surrounded the house where Prophet Isa was, but Allah
helped him and raised him up to the heavens. Allah saved him from the evil people.
There are many explanations unto what had really happened. The following is one of
the explanations. Judas Iscariot, a disciple of Prophet Isa was promised thirty
pieces of silver if he helped arrest Prophet Isa. During the night the soldiers went
out to arrest Prophet Isa who had gathered in a house with his disciples. The soldiers went to search
for him. Whilst he was surrounded with his disciples, there was a scuffle in the darkness, during which
time the traitor, Judas Iscariots face changed just like that of Prophet
Isa, and the soldiers grabbed him. Thinking this man was Prophet Isa,
they crucified him on the cross and were made to be confused by the will
of Allah. This is why Allah says in the Qur'an: They did not kill him or
crucify him, but a likeness of that was shown to them" (Quran 4:157).
Some people mistakenly think that Prophet Isa died on the cross. We can
explain to them what really happened in a nice way. He was raised up to
the heavens, where he is still alive, and will return to this world before
the Day of Judgement. When Prophet Isa returns he will not come as a
Page 3
prophet but as a follower of the last Prophet Muhammad. It is also very clear that Prophet Isa was the son of
Maryam and not the son of God. The Quran says, Isa, the son of Maryam, was no more than a messenger.
Many were messengers who passed before him. His mother was a truthful woman." Qur'an 5:75)
Masih, Isa, son of Maryam is the messenger of Allah and his word which He gave to Maryam and a spirit from
Him." Qur'an 61:6)
Before the return of ProphetIsa to this world, there will come the Imam Mahdi who will be the last leader of
the Muslims from the family of the prophet and a very pious person. He will come from Makka and fill the world
with peace and justice.
After about seven years of Imam Mahdis rule, Angels will bring down Prophet Isa from the heavens on a white
minaret on the eastern side of Damascus. Prophet Isa will live and rule for forty years. People of all the religions
will believe in him. There will be so much peace and happiness during these forty years. He will then die and be
buried next to Prophet Muhammad in Madina.
Masih, Isa, son of Maryam is the messenger of Allah and his word
which He gave to Maryam and a spirit from Him." Qur'an 61:6)
