Code of ethics is not limited to the engineering profession and there are number of professions, which are

year history has now been known as the Institution of Engineers, Sti Lanka, It was formed in the year 1978 by
act of Parliament number 17 pursuant to the by-laws and its provisions. Code of ethics was formed to discipline
engineers who enter the category of Chartered Engineers.
