Final Reflection
Throughout this course I have made a lot of errors and I have learned a lot
through the feedback of my papers. I learned that consistency and self-motivation
are key to success. Reflecting on all the material in this course puts into perspective
the amount of effort needed to improve my writing. For my portfolio I would like to
point out my daybook reflections, my instructor feedback, and my polished work.
In all honesty up until this class I though I was a great writer. Now I realize
that there is a lot more to writing than I initially thought. The construction of my
ideas and the communication of my message are just a couple of things to consider.
The main thing I need to work on is developing effective methods of portraying my
understanding and incorporating other perspectives into my writing. In my
reflections I include examples of why a piece is relevant and how they are effectively
executed. I also compare my interpretations to success of the authors. I see
improvement on my writing in my other classes. My reflections are more in depth
and I propose better ideas than before. I outline my papers more effectively to get
my point across and elaborate on concepts that I feel require additional information.
The ethnography is a prime example of my application of concepts. After my
primary and secondary research I tried to correlate the concepts that I learned with
that of common goals found in my peers. I evaluated different strategies and their
