This position allows me to observe and document interactions of lead teachers in charge
of the day to day operations of Head Start programs. My position ensures that there is
coordination between the top most authority and bottom line authority. I am responsible
for monitoring, training, and staff development. In my duties of monitoring I am
responsible for performing quarterly observations in each of the classrooms that I
supervise. Subsequently, I provide coaching and training based on the areas that need
improvement. Education management also requires that I maintain knowledge of the
Federal Performance Standards, Department of Children and Families, as well as Civil
Service and Hillsborough County Rules and Regulations. In short I am responsible for
ensuring that the children of Hillsborough County Head Start/Early Head Start receive
the best quality education that we can provide. Additionally I provide curriculum training

during new employee orientation. Moreover, I develop and facilitate in-service trainings
quarterly to meet the needs of teaching staff based on observation data collected. I am
currently responsible for the performance management process of 12 individuals.

In this position I was responsible for the day to day operations of a corporate child care
center. I was the manager of 10 to 15 staff members. In addition to this I was
responsible for developing and maintaining an in depth marketing plan that directly
correlated to center enrollment needs. Moreover my responsibilities included ensuring
staff and students files were up to date, and maintaining daily deposits. Additionally I
created budgets and maintained positive monetary comps (PABO). In my first year of
employment I revamped the center cleaning up all major housekeeping issues, as well
as maintaining positive interactions with the Department of Children and Families,
Health Department, and Early Learning Coalition Representatives. I was also responsible
for maintaining all third party documentation for Arbor, Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten, as
well the Child Care Food Program. In this position I was solely responsible for
interviewing, hiring, and training new staff members. This position also required me to
ensure that all customer complaints were handled in a diplomatic fashion. In short I was
responsible for all public relations for this corporately owned business.
