Ourprojectisgreat!WearegoingtobemakingyoutubevideosinspiredbyJohn
Greensvideos.Inthesevideos,wewillgoovertheAKStopicsof36aand36b.Basically,we
aregoingoverthegrowthofUniversityofGeorgia,Louisville,andthespreadofBathodistand
MethodistChurches.Furthermore,wewillevaluatetheimpactoflandpoliciespursuedby
Georgiatoincludetheheadrightsystem,landlotteries,andtheYazoolandfraud.Theseare
theAKSfor8thgradesocialstudiesstudents.Thiswillassuretheyarelearningeverything
theyneedtolearn.
WehopetousethetechniquethatJohnGreenuses.Asin,tomakelearningSocial
Studiesinterestingandnotsoboringfromjustreadingfromtextbooks.Inourvideoswewill
includefunandhumorousthingsincluding:skits,jokes,andvisualaids.Ourgoalistomake
8thgradersenjoylearningaboutGeorgiasgrowthandexpansion.Wethinkthatshowing8th
gradersother8thgradersvideosaboutthetopic.Webelievewewillmakethemmore
interestedandunderstandmorebymakingfunandhumorousvideos.

Indoingthisproject,ourgroupexpandedourknowledgeofGeorgiasgrowth.Wealso
hadagreattimemakingourschoolappropriatefunnyvideo.Hopefullyitwillhelpstudentsin
8thgradelearnaboutGeorgia.Whileweweredoingthisprojectwealsohaddebatesonhowwe
woulddotheproject.Intheendweputourheadstogetheranddecidedononething.
Also,wedidmeetourgoalsabouttelling8thgradestudentsaboutGeorgia.Ourgoals
weretoexplainthelandpoliciesthatwerepursuedbyGeorgiaalongwiththeheadrightsystem,
landlotteries,andtheYazoolandfraud.Inourvideowemade,weattemptedtoexplainallof
thoselisted.

InthisprojectIlearnedacouplethings.Ilearnedsomethingthatwouldhelpmeonthetest!In
theprojectwetalkedabouttheYazooLandFraudandIwasconfusedonwhatitwas.AfterI
keptmessingupsayingthescript,Islowlyrememberedit.Thenwhenthetestdaycame,Iknew
allabouttheYazooLandFraud.ThatiswhatIlearned.
