IN THE SPACE BELOW, DESCRIBE THE ARTIFACT AND HOW IT RELATES TO
THE CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK OF THE EDUCATION PROGRAM: The artifact is
a unit plan which includes two lesson plans on supply and demand. To form each lesson plan all
three factors in the conceptual framework were used. Content knowledge was important to create
the information shared in each lesson. Pedagogy was important to create the procedures of
learning in each lesson, and diversity was addressed when addressing the diversified learner in
each lesson.
IN THE SPACE BELOW, DESCRIBE AND EXPLAIN IN WHAT WAY(S) THIS
ARTIFACT RELATES TO THE COURSE OBJECTIVE(S) YOU ALIGNED IT WITH
AND HOW IT CONTRIBUTED TO YOUR GROWING COMPETENCE IN THE
EDUCATION PROGRAM: The course objectives were important to the construction of the
lesson plans in the unit. Each lesson taught students about the subject and then how to apply it to
the real world. I had to use my knowledge of current theories such as constructivism to create
working lesson plans. The lesson plans also addressed the diversified learners who are a result of
their society, community, culture, and exceptionalities. The unit included technology in both the
teacher instruction and the student applications. Creating this artifact has helped me become a
better teacher candidate by walking me through the process of creating lesson plans that include
all course objectives.
