Cafeteria Expectations

1. Students must enter the cafeteria with voices off.


2. Students must go through the cafeteria line with voices off.
3. Students must sit in number order at their designated table(s).
4. While eating lunch, students are expected to use an indoor voice to talk to
friends next to them and/or directly across from them.
5. The President, and/or Vice President, is responsible for monitoring the noise
volume. The President (or Vice President) will:
a. place the stacked red, yellow, and green cups in front of his/her tray
b. if students begin to get loud he/she will place the yellow cup on top of
the stack warning students to lower their voices
c. if students remain loud, after quietly counting to 10, the President or
Vice President will place the red cup on top of the stack warning
student to NOT TALK
d. once on red, the President (or Vice President) will write down names of
talkers and share this list with the teacher after lunch
6. Students must pick up all trash from on, under, and/or around their table(s)
before dumping their trays. The President/Vice President are responsible to
quietly let students know if something gets left on the table/floor.
7. Once dismissed, students will sit quietly, in number order, until the teacher
arrives to pick them up. The President/Vice President are responsible to
write down the names of any talkers.
Green Cup Yellow Cup Red Cup Names
If the class ends
lunch with a green
cup they will earn
2 soccer balls.

If the class ends
lunch with a yellow
cup there will be no
reward and no
consequence.
If the class ends
lunch with a red cup
the class will walk 4
laps during their
next recess.
If a students
name is written
down he/she will
owe 2 laps
during the next
recess.
