The AP Psychology course is designed to introduce students to the systematic and
scientifc study of the behaior and mental !rocesses of human beings and other
animals. "tudents are e#!osed to the !sychological facts$ !rinci!les$ and !henomena
associated %ith each of the ma&or subfelds %ithin !sychology. They also learn about the
ethics and methods !sychologists use in their science and !ractice.

"tudents %ill be introduced to the arious sub'felds of !sychology and learn ho% they

/aluation in this course %ill be based on a ariety of tas(s including labs$ cumulatie
e#ams$ 0ui11es$ home%or( assignments and actie and a!!ro!riate !artici!ation in
class. 2ha!ter 3utlines %ill be handed out at the beginning of eery cha!ter. These
0uestions %ill be due the day of the fnal cha!ter tests. A mandatory fnal e#am %ill be
scheduled in 4une$ and all students in the course$ including those %ho chose to %rite the
AP /#am in May$ are re0uired to %rite the fnal.

leel discussions in %hich students must feel comfortable sharing their ideas and
o!inions as %ell as commenting on the o!inions of others in a thoughtful and res!ectful

moies and other actiities. Anything !resented in class or in the assigned readings may
