Governor Hee Jung Ahn Communicates with Future Local Leaders via Books

- Book discussion with part-time working students was held -

Governor Hee Jung Ahn of the Chungnam Province conducted a book discussion last February

rd
. The discussion was held in the assembly room and 43 part-time working students attended it.

The discussion was based from the books Life Lessons and For Men, as recommended by
Governor Ahn. They had an open discussion about the important passages on the books.

Governor Ahn read passages from the books that he and the participants deemed relevant,
then they had a discussion regarding those passages. The goal of the discussion is to impart
lessons and to communicate with the future leaders through inspiring books.

Governor Ahn said, I believe that the best way to fill up the hunger for knowledge is through
reading. Reading is the most important habit that the future generations of leaders should
cultivate.

One of the participants said, I was really impressed by the bookshelves filled with books that
surround the provincial office. I was able to experience the pleasure of reading and sharing ideas
with the Governor and with the other participants.

Chungnam Province currently employs these 43 local university students. They started working
in the provincial offices last January 6
th
. The province offers them many learning experiences such
as volunteer activities at the Social Welfare Facilities and a chance to observe the parliamentary.
