Key Words: stirred tank, heat exchanger jacket, heat exchanger coil, permanent regime, heat transfer coefficient, surface heating.
Abstract In this practice we compared the performance of two teams that are intended to heat exchange in stirred tanks with continuous operation. One is the jacket heat exchanger where the heat transfer coefficient of the heating surface to the liquid, the other coil exchanger which is an inexpensive way of obtaining heat transfer surface is evaluated. The characteristics of the equipment are: container-walled stainless steel, PVC and acrylic base cover. A glass jacket surround allows the hot fluid or alternatively a solenoid can be immersed stainless steel to work with indirect heating from the inside. It was operated at a speed of 2.5 revolutions per second. It was concluded that it is best to use heat exchangers jacket.
