The Jail Report is a weekly publication created by
Rickabaugh Publishing, LLC.
It is sold in Richmond, Columbia, Aiken & Edgefeld
counties. Local mugshots in this issue are of people who
have been arrested in those counties, usually within the
last week to 10 days. Mugshots and charges come directly
from the sheriffs offces.
Mugshots do not indicate guilt. They are simply a record
of the charge made by law enforcement. Suspects pictured
or named are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of
law. All persons listed have only been charged unless
otherwise stated.
We are unable to print every arrest. We do NOT take
requests or payment for mugshots to be kept out.

Should college football stadiums al-
low the sale of alcohol?
Or would it only lead to more prob-
lems and arrests in the stands from
sloshed spectators?
Let me start with this: It seems a bit
unfair and elitist to only allow people
in the premium seats and luxury boxes
to drink alcohol at the game. Thats
the case at most of our big stadiums
regionally.
Anyone caught consuming alcohol in
the bleachers risks arrest.
Currently, there are 21 on-campus
football stadiums in the nation where
fans of legal drinking age can buy
beer.
So why not let all of them
start?
You know that fans would be
willing to pay high prices for a
stadium beer, funds that could
help the athletic program bud-
get. That money would also
fow down into the universitys
non-revenue sports, which is a
majority of them.
Plus, letting fans purchase
beer in the stadium reduces
the desire by people to load up
on alcohol during tailgating. When they
come into the stadium drunk, there
is a potential for more rowdiness and
outrageous behavior.
Selling beer might actually reduce
the disruptiveness. (Plus, fans wouldnt
feel the need to sneak in alcohol.)
If you go see the Braves, the Fal-
cons or the Panthers, you will see that
alcohol sales take up as much room as
souvenir sales.
Now, college football has taken on
an atmosphere comparable to pro
sports with coaches making big bucks,
the SEC enjoying its own TV network
and a movement toward paying the
players.
I know that money isnt everything. In
fact, some believe football fans should
stop their belly-aching when they cant
drink for a few hours.
But I believe the absence of alco-
hol only makes people more
sneaky and more dangerous
at the same time.
Ive seen statistics that show
other countries with a legal
age below 21 have less prob-
lems than the United States,
where we send our children
into war at 18 but wont let
them legally drink.
Same with college football.
Set up a legal system to sell
alcohol and you might see
those empty mini-bottles in bathroom
stalls start to disappear.
Whats your opinion? Email me at
publisher@thejailreport.com.

A woman stopped for driving with no
headlights last Wednesday night was
found to have nearly three times the
legal limit of alcohol in her system.
Leah Brown, 43, of the 1100 block of
Willow Woods Drive, Aiken, was ar-
rested and charged with DUI and her
license was suspended, an Aiken De-
partment of Public Safety report said.
An offcer spotted Brown driving her
Mercedes south on Laurens Street to-
wards Park Avenue with no headlights
on. She was pulled over on Laurens
Street at South Boundary Avenue and
the offcer could see that her eyes were
glassy, her speech was slurred and she
smelled like alcohol, the report said.
Brown said shed had two glasses
of wine and she agreed to take a feld
sobriety test. She had trouble on all
phases of the test with both the instruc-
tions and her balance, the report said.
She was arrested for DUI and taken to
headquarters where her blood alcohol
content registered a .21 percent, the
report said.
A blood alcohol content that high can
cause stupor, loss of understanding,
severe motor impairment and black-
outs, according to BAC charts.

A third man has been
arrested for barging into an
Aiken home in late August
and tying up the resident
before robbing him.
Michael Wallace Dorn,
39, of the 300 block of
Florence Street NW, Aiken,
was charged with burglary,
strong arm robbery, kid-
napping and assault and
battery.
He also was charged with
two counts of failure to pay
child support, according to an Aiken
Department of Public Safety incident
report.
Dorn was arrested last Tuesday.
Two other men were arrested shortly
after the crime. They are Justin Leverne
Cooper, 26, of the 300 block of Frieday
Lane, Aiken, and Tobias Thomas, 16, of
Aiken. They too were charged with bur-
glary, strong armed robbery, kidnapping
and assault and battery, the report said.
The victim said he was in bed
on the afternoon of Aug. 24 at
his house on the 200 block of
Williamsburg Street in Aiken
when several men came in and
attacked him. They tied him up
and robbed him taking cash,
a cell phone and a watch, the
report said.
The victim said about 45
minutes earlier, the men had
knocked on his door asking for
one of his neighbors. The vic-
tim said he went out his back
door to go get the neighbor, who ended
up sitting on the porch smoking with the
visitors/robbers.
The neighbor said he didnt know
the men, but said one of them asked if
the victim had marijuana or cash in the
house, the report said.
The victim was injured during the
attack and was bleeding from the head
when offcers arrived, the public safety
report said.

A North Augusta mother re-
ceived a number of disturbing
text messages after her adult
son disappeared with her car
back in June.
The messages, who she
thinks were from someone
other than her son Anthony
Edward Dove, said that the
man was in trouble because
he owed them a lot of money.
A later message said that
she would get her car back, a
North Augusta Department of
Public Safety report said.
On July 1, two days after
her son left with the car, she
fled a report on the missing
vehicle telling offcers she
thought someone else had
her car, the report said.
Her son, she told offcers,
has a drug addiction, the
report said.
Dove, 29, of the 1800 block
of Hollis Street, North Augus-
ta, was arrested last Wednes-
day and charged with breach
of trust with fraudulent intent,
grand larceny and failure to
appear, the report said.

It allegedly didnt take long
for Eddie Dontrel Drayton to fall
back to his old way.
Drayton, who his mother said
was recently released from
prison on burglary charges, was
arrested again for the crime last
Wednesday, according to an Ai-
ken Department of Public Safety
report.
A neighbor of Draytons mother
came home on Aug. 18 and
found that his upstairs bedroom
window was open. The window
had been pried and the screen
was on the roof. An Xbox had
been taken during the break-in,
the report said.
In the room, the man found a
black wallet close to the window
with Draytons ID inside, the
report said.
Offcers talked to Draytons
mother who said her son was
not there. In fact, she said she
didnt know where he was be-
cause he had just gotten out of
prison, the report said.
Drayton, 23, of the 100 block
of Sumter Street, Aiken, was
arrested at the Probation and
Parole offce and charged again
with burglary, the report said.

Man: Strange Feeling Made Him Punch Girlfriend
A Warrenville man said he
punched the mother of his
child in the face early last Fri-
day morning because he felt
strange.
Dale Griffn, 38, of the 100
block of Hillman Street, Warren-
ville, was arrested and charged
with criminal domestic violence,
3rd or subsequent offense, an
Aiken County Sheriffs report
said.
Griffns girlfriend called 911
at 4:40 a.m. after an argument
with Griffn became physical.
She said when she tried to

said.

PUBLISHED EVERY WEDNESDAY THE JAIL REPORT
Q: It was reported over the week-
end that you have added more
black deputies to the staff of the
sheriffs offce. A new report says
blacks constitute 53.1 percent
of the population of Richmond
County, but you have improved the
percentage of full-time black depu-
ties from 21.9 percent to about 31
percent.
Can you talk about why this is im-
portant and what you are doing to
infuence these fgures? The Jail
Report
A. As I stated when I was cam-
paigning, a Law Enforcement agency
should be refective of the community
in which it serves. It is this simple,
Peace Offcers have the authority
to govern certain actions of citizens,
detain them if necessary, arrest and
confne them. These are huge re-
sponsibilities and I feel that a more
diverse force would reduce tension
and would signifcantly decrease the
perception of offcers abusing their
power.
What we are doing now with our
application process is not just wait-
ing on qualifed people to apply. We
are actively recruiting applicants of all
nationalities so that we have a large
pool to choose from. I would love to
see more Hispanic and Korean ap-
plicants as well due to the growing
population.
Fort Gordon is a huge asset that we
are trying to tap into with military that
are retiring but still want to remain in
the Augusta area.

Q: Would you PLEASE enforce
the noise ordinance a lot more. I
hate listening to all those nasty
words coming out of the cars
around me.
Melissa Robinson
A. Ms. Robinson, I totally agree with
you. The music a person chooses to
listen to should be limited to the con-
fnes of their vehicle or home. I can
assure you that our deputies are en-
couraged to enforce that ordinance.

Q: WHY DO THE RCSO RAN-
DOM ROAD BLOCKS ONLY TAR-
GET AREAS MOSTLY DRIVEN BY
BLACKS? Teknine Twin
A. THEY DONT.

Godly Golf
Moses, Jesus and a third man are playing golf one
day.
Moses is up frst. He hits a nice shot, but it dips and
lands in a water trap. Moses quickly raises his club,
the water parts, and the ball rolls out of the trap.
Jesus is up next. He hits an almost identical shot,
again landing in the water trap. The ball hovers a
few inches over the surface of the water, and Jesus
casually strolls out and chips the ball up onto the
green.
The third man is up last. He hits a long shot, but
its going in a wrong direction. It fies off the course
to the left and into traffc. It hits a truck and bounces
off, landing on the roof of the pro shop and rolling
down the roof until it bounces down the course. It
lands in the same water trap. A frog takes the ball in
its mouth when suddenly a hawk fies down, picks
up the frog, and as they fy over the green the frog
drops the ball into a hole for a perfect hole-in-one.
Moses turns to Jesus and says, I hate playing with
your dad.
Single Sign
A man is out buying groceries. He buys one apple,
one banana, one small milk, a frozen meal for one,
and one cup of instant noodles.
The cashier looks at him and says So, I suppose
youre single?
The man looks away, blushing, and answers Yes
I am. How did you know?
The cashier replies Because youre ugly.
The New Supermarket
Have you heard about the new supermarket that
just opened up nearby?
It has an automatic water mister to keep the
produce fresh. Just before it goes on, you hear the
sound of distant thunder and smell fresh rain.
When you pass the milk cases, you hear cows
mooing and there is the scent of freshly mowed
hay. In the meat department there is the aroma of
charcoal grilled steaks with onions.
When you approach the egg case, you hear hens
clucking and cackling, and the air is flled with the
pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying.
The bread department features the tantalizing
smell of fresh baked bread and cookies.
Just make sure to skip the toilet paper aisle.
New York Woman
Gets Revenge on
Skirt Peeker-Upper
A Wisconsin woman was
booked last week...literally.
Laniece Greenwood
was pulled over and then
arrested last Thursday in
Shorewood as a result of
an overdue library book,
according to a report by
CBS 58 News.
Hes like, Do you know
why I pulled you over?
He said its because you have a warrant. Its from
Cudahy for an overdue book, Greenwood told a
local reporter.
The woman said she started to laugh before
realizing the cop wasnt joking. When the offcer
realized she was taking her daughter to school, he
agreed to escort her there and then to the police
department.
Once Greenwood made it to the Shorewood Police
Department, she was given a citation and a new
court date.
The year-old citation included overdue fnes of
$177.
Books at the Cudahy Family Library are considered
stolen after 60 days late. A list of violators are turned
over to local police, who mail out citations.
Police say the violators can either pay the fne or
go to court. If they do neither, a warrant is issued for
their arrest.
Greenwood told the TV station that she never got
the citation and had never even been to the library in
Cudahy.

Ohio Man Tries to
Sell Food Stamps
on Facebook
An Ohio man was busted
last week for advertising
his girlfriends food stamp
card for sell on Facebook.
The Facebook post by
Derron Chamberlain drew
the attention of police
offcers in Middletown, and
busting the suspect was
fairly easy. He posted his
phone number.
He did put his real information while he was
doing this illegal act for everybody to see,
Middletown Police Lt. Scott Reeve told a local
newspaper.
The man seemed crazy excited when an
undercover cop called him as a potential buyer. He
was so excited that he kept calling back, desperate
to make a deal happen for $100, police said.
So cops met Chamberlain at a local park and
arrested him for traffcking food stamps, a felony.
The suspect claimed ignorance, acting surprised
that it was illegal to sell food stamps.
But this is no angel. Chamberlains a repeat
offender with at least 19 previous arrests.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has said that
food stamp fraud totals $750 million each year.
A New York woman
got sweet revenge on
a man who allegedly
stuck his head up her
skirt at a Brooklyn
subway station and
assaulted her.
She saw the man
back on the subway
two days later and
snapped a picture of
him. Police then used that photo to fnd and
arrest him.
James Barnes, 61, of Brooklyn, was charged
with sexual abuse and assault in the Aug. 8
incident.
The 32-year-old woman told police she was
walking up a subway staircase when Barnes
tried to peek up her skirt. She pushed him
away, and he allegedly grabbed her and threw
her down the stairs. He then punched and
kicked the victim before feeing, according to
police. She suffered minor injuries.
When she saw the same man reading a paper
on the subway Aug. 10, she snapped a picture.
Police investigated and eventually released
the image last Thursday. He was arraigned last
Friday.

THE JAIL REPORT
Find all the words listed hidden in the grid of letters.
They can be found in straight lines up, down,
forwards, backwards or diagonally.
Each week, I attempt to pick a topic
based off of questions that people
ask me the most. Over the past
month, Ive been asked on numer-
ous occasions How can I be charged
with DUI when I was legally pre-
scribed to take that medication?
The Georgia Legislature foresaw
this question when they drafted
O.C.G.A. 40-6-391. This statute
covers driving under the infuence not
only of alcohol, but also driving under
the infuence of drugs, or other intoxi-
cating substances.
First, O.C.G.A. 40-6-391(a)(2)
states clearly that a person shall not
drive or be in actual physical control
of any moving vehicle while under the
infuence of any drug to the extent
that its less safe for that person to
drive. Subsection (b) of this statute is
key in answering the question above.
It states that a person charged with
DUI cannot use as a defense the fact
that they are legally entitled to use a
particular drug.
It goes on to say that a person us-
ing a legally prescribed drug is only in
violation of this statute if such person
is rendered incapable of driving safe-
ly as a result of using their legally
prescribed drug. This is the law as it
relates to driving under the infuence
of prescription medications.
Now let me attempt to put this
into real world application. As most
people understand, even legally
prescribed drugs may have a sig-
nifcant impact on a persons motor
skills and functional capacity. Some
drugs make people sleepy or groggy.
Others drugs make people jumpy or
jittery.
If the side effects of these prescrip-
tion drugs make a person a less safe
driver on the roadways of Georgia,
then that person should not drive
after taking those medications.
The next question I always get is
How do they prove that someone is
a less safe driver? The answer to
that question often turns on the facts
of each individual case.
One of the things offcers often
observe is an impaired driver not
staying in his or her lane. If a person
is all over the road, then thats a good
indicator that that person is less
safe on the roadway.
Also, if a person causes a wreck,
then that is certainly a mark of a less
safe driver. There are many other
things that are consider less safe
acts.
Please seek the advice of an at-
torney should any of these questions
impact your life.

But he wasnt done. He returned
to the counter, pulled down his
pants and exposed himself. He
then did the unthinkable and put
his penis on the cookie shops
counter, the report said.
He asked the woman if she liked
what she saw. The clerk ordered
the man to leave, the report said.
Lester pulled up to his pants and
walked outside, the report said.
Mall security stopped him and
watched the video of his exchange
with the woman. On the video Les-

Teens Rob Neighbor, Bashing Him in the Head
Two teens attacked and robbed a
man who lives in their South Augusta
neighborhood off of Peach Orchard
Road just after midnight Saturday.
The man was walking in the front
yard of his Parkwood home around
midnight when Tyquan Khalil Rhodes,
17, and Andre Martrice Simpkins, 19,
who live on the 2200 block of Bass-
wood Drive, walked up to him with
guns drawn, according to the Rich-
mond County Sheriffs Department.
One of the teens was armed with
a revolver while the other was car-
rying semi-automatic. The victim, a
35-year-old man, began to fght with
one of the teens over his gun. His
partner fred two shots toward the
mans home, the report said.
The victim was bashed in the head
with one of the gun. He dropped
money on the ground and the two left,
the report said.
They were arrested not long after
the robbery. Both of the teens were
charged with armed robbery, aggra-
vated assault and possession of a
frearm during commission of a crime,
the report said.

Foster Mother Brings 4-Year-Old Child
to Work & Leaves Her in Hot Car
A 4-year-old child was left alone in a
locked car at Georgia Regional Hospital
for nearly three hours Friday morning
before an employee of the hospital spotted
the girl and took her to a nurse for treat-
ment.
The girls foster mother ran out of one
of the buildings when a Richmond County
Sheriffs deputy arrived.
Is she all right? Is she all right? the
woman, Katherine Riley, 45, asked.
Riley looked in the Pontiac Montana and
asked where the girl was. Thats when she
was told she had been taken to a nurse.
The nurse told the deputy that the child
was sweating and crying, but after she
drank water and ate a few crackers, she
appeared to be OK, the report said.
The little girl had been in the car with all
of the windows rolled up since 7:30 a.m.
when Riley reported for work. She was
found by a hospital employee at about
10:15 a.m. after he heard a car horn and
spotted the girl standing on the front seat
crying, the report said.
A social worker with the Department of
Family and Children Services took custody
of the child and she was taken to GRU
Hospital by ambulance, the report said.
Riley, of the 1800 block of Lokey Street,
Augusta, was arrested and charged with
deprivation of a minor, the report said.

An Augusta man was arrest-
ed last Tuesday after he was
caught pawning yard equip-
ment stolen from a Lumpkin
Road apartment complex.
Arnold Ray Hyman, 42 of the
2500 block of Lyman Street,
Augusta, was charged with
felony theft by receiving stolen
property after he used his driv-
ers license as identifcation at
three pawn shops, a Richmond
County Sheriffs report said.
In early August, the sheriffs
department received a report
that a shed at Fleming Heights
Apartments had been pried
open. A number of items had
been taken including a weed
trimmer, a back pack blower
and a hedge trimmer. The
items were valued at more than
$2,000, the report said.
On Aug. 11, a tip was re-
ceived by the sheriffs offce
through Leads Online that
Hyman was pawning the
stolen items. He went to three
pawn shops, Downtown Pawn
and Mr. Pawn, both on Broad
Street, and Hitchcock Pawn
on Peach Orchard Road, the
report said.
The manager of Fleming
Heights Apartment was shown
of photo of Hyman, but he did
not recognize him, the report
said.

Deputy Tasers Deputy During Struggle with Suspect
A Richmond County deputy ac-
cidentally tasered a fellow offcer last
week during a violent struggle with a
suspect in Augusta.
Anthony McGuffn, a homeless man,
was being questioned last Wednes-
day on Fox Trace Drive about his
suspicious activity when the incident
occurred. According to a report, the
suspect lied about his identity and
then refused a deputys order to put
down his cell phone.
When Investigator Jason Kennedy
told him he was under arrest, the
suspect began fghting the investigator
and a sheriffs deputy, identifed in the
report as Deputy Adams. The deputy
tased McGuffn, but it didnt help. The
report says what happened next:
Dep. Adams tased McGuffn again.
Inv. Kennedy was tangled with the wire
and got tased before pulling away.
One of the prongs came free from
McGuffn and Inv. Kennedy, and Dep.
Adams got back on top of McGuffn to
place him into custody. Inv. Kennedy
and Dep. Adams wrestled with McGuf-
fn for a minute. Inv. Kennedy was able
to gain control of McGuffns hands
and place him under arrest.
Inv. Kennedy obtained a laceration
to his right and left hand ring fngers
as a result of McGuffn wrestling
around with him.
McGuffn, 26, was charged with
felony obstruction of an offcer and giv-

Steven Louis Barnes, who
was given the sentence of
death as the ringleader in
the premeditated murder
and kidnapping of 16-year-
old Samuel Sturrup Jr., of
Augusta, on Sept. 3, 2001 in
Edgefeld County, has seen
his 2010 death penalty over-
turned by the SC Supreme
Court in October of 2013.
The high court ruled on a
3-2 decision that Barnes should have
been allowed to act as his own attorney,
rather than the two appointed for him -
an issue raised by the Defense before
the frst trial ever got underway.
The S.C. Supreme Court ruled that
a defendant has, the absolute right to
represent yourself, at trial, even if it is a
death penalty case, and threw out all of
his convictions for murder, kidnapping,
throwing bodily fuids on offcers at the
detention center and the death penalty.
All because Barnes wanted to be his
own lawyer.
In the ruling it was noted there were
no errors in the trial, the way it was
conducted or any other issues that
would have led to the convic-
tions being overturned other than
Barnes claiming he wanted to be
his own lawyer.
On Sept. 11, 2014, Barnes had
a hearing at the Edgefeld County
Courthouse before Circuit Judge
Diane Goodstein as the trials are
being set to be re-tried as Barnes
requested - with Barnes being
his own lawyer. However, now
that the convictions have been
overturned, Barnes requested to
have lawyers appointed for him
by the Court.
Barnes not only wanted to be appoint-
ed lawyers, be he wanted the lawyer or
lawyers he chooses in private practice,
where the costs are much higher. The
state argued that the Offce of Indigent
Defense has a large number of well
qualifed lawyers who specialize in
death penalty cases on the state payroll
already and could handle the cases.
That was not good enough for Barnes,
who demanded Attorney Jeff Bloom of
Columbia by name to be provided for
him to prepare his retrial, which was
expected to be on the docket by the
summer of 2015.
Judge Goodstein granted Barnes
request and appointed Bloom and an
unnamed attorney from the Indigent De-
fense Offce to be seated in the case.
Bloom made it clear that the new
defense team would not be ready for
trial until at least sometime in 2016, per-
haps beyond. Another ruling in another
case states there can be no limit on the
amount of money that can made by the
appointed attorney to represent his client
in a death penalty case.
Barnes original trial was the most ex-
pensive for Edgefeld County. Under the
current situation and new trials, that cost
is going to go much higher and will have
a huge impact on the Edgefeld County
Budget.
Barnes and fve others were charged
in the brutal torture, kidnapping and
execution style murder of Sturrup. Alex-
ander and Julio Hunsburger, of Sandy
Springs Road in Edgefeld County, were
also found guilty in their own trials and
are serving 35 years and life in prison
without parole respectively.
Antonio Griffen, Richard Cave, and
Charlene Thatcher, all of Augusta were
17 at the time of the murder and are also
facing murder and kidnapping charges
in Edgefeld County. All three testifed
against Barnes and the Hunsburgers.

Teen Posts Naked Picture of Her Boyfriends Ex
A Columbia County teen was
arrested last week for allegedly
posting a nude photo of her boy-
friends ex-girlfriend on Facebook.
Tanner Morgan Lewis, 19, was
charged with illegal transmission
of a nude or sexually explicit im-
age.
The female victim called authori-
ties last Monday about the nude
photo. She said someone texted
her a photo to show her that Lewis
had posted the nude photo on
Lewis Facebook page, accord-
ing to a Columbia County sheriffs
report.
The photo was only up on
Facebook for 14 minutes before
being taken down, the sheriffs
report states.
The victim told authorities that
Lewis also posted a screen shot
of a private message between her
and Lewis.
The victim said she wasnt
aware of the nude photo ever be-
ing taken, but she said the sus-
pect is the new girlfriend with her
ex.
The victim said she would
never give permission for it to be
posted, a report says.

A Harlem mother wasnt playing games when
her teenage son came into her house and took
her dollar coins.
She had 17-year-old Jacob Wood arrested for
the theft.
The victim told deputies that Jacob took at
least 120 in Sacagawea dollar-coins last month
from her home on Otis Way in Harlem along
with $185 in other coins, a report says.
The woman said she checked on her coin
collection after she found a Facebook message
that Jacob had sent someone.
Mr. Wood messaged a friend that he was
wanting to buy marijuana, a sheriffs report
says. Mr. Wood said that he only had dollar
coins to buy it with.
Wood was arrested last Tuesday. According to
the sheriffs report, the teen does not live with
his mother, but the report did not say where he
lived.

Woman Stalks Ex-Husband at House to Catch Him Cheating
A woman confessed to deputies
that shes been stalking her ex-
husband in Martinez.
But she argued that she had a
good reason.
According to a sheriffs report,
Lajuana Blackwell went to her ex-
husbands Martinez home to catch
him with another woman.
She told deputies that she yelled
Youve been caught at her ex,
letting him know about allega-
tions he was having relations with
another woman.
The ex-husband alerted authori-
ties over the weekend that Ms.
Blackwell continues to harass him
despite being told by deputies not
to have any contact with him.
The ex-husband said Ms. Black-
well has called him repeatedly, left
voice mails admitting to watching
him around town, left notes on
his back door steps and has sent
letters to him at his home. He said
on Saturday night, Ms. Blackwell
sat outside his home and verbally
hassed him with the Youve been
caught allegation.
After her admission to deputies,
Ms. Blackwell was charged with
stalking - family violence.

A birthday party in Appling ended in arrest
Saturday after a local teen punched a younger
girl in the face, authorities said.
Deonte Antonie Dorsey, 18, was charged with
battery in the Saturday night incident at Burks
Mountain Road in Appling.
A young girl told deputies that she and her best
friend were leaving the birthday party and got into
an argument with Dorsey in reference to him try-
ing to help get his brothers vehicle out of a ditch.
Dorsey then came toward the victim in a fght-
ing manner, so she pushed him back away from
her..
He began pushing her and grabbing her arms,
a report says. While trying to get away from Mr.
Dorsey, he started punching her in the face with
a closed fst.
Dorsey confessed to deputies to hitting the girl,
who suffered swelling to her right eye, a report
says.
