DISPLAYING
Displaying is another following process that connects an information system to the real
world. It presents users with the output of an information system. Displaying devices
can also be output devices and include some common hardware items or peripherals
attached to a computer.
The displaying process includes how the information is going to be shown to the user.
For the information system, a monitor will be used to display the speakers would be
needed as well to display the audio data.
There are several forms of displaying and outputs including:
Visual output e.g. computer monitor, printed, drawn on paper
Aural output-e.g. hearing through speakers, form of music , speech or other
sounds
Electronic output- e.g. on magnetic tape as video
EXAMPLES OF DISPLAYI NG:
Displaying is the final information process that occurred in every task given as there is
are users who views the task but the forms of display varies amongst them. The
navigation page and all the documents linked to it would be display via a monitor which
is a form of visual output. The general font used in the Flash Navigation page was
Century Gothic for titles and Calibri text for information on information processes.
Aural output was highlight in the task of creating a flash movie flash starry eyed in
2012. During this project, I inserted an mp3 file Starry Eyed into the timeline of the
certain workspace and when the final product was viewed, there would be soundwaves
emitting from the speakers, which is a form of aura output. Video projects such as the
history video displayed visual and aural output as well.
COMPUTER AND NON-COMPUTER TOOLS
Computer tools include different types of monitors, printers and audio displays (for
audio the hardware allows the user to see the software for displaying includes within
the application, formatting within applications, designing simple web pages. On-
computer tools for displaying would include storyboards, using paper, but also paper
posters, paintings, can also be used for displaying information.
SOCIAL AND ETHICAL ISSUES
Display may have social and ethical issues including the communication skills of those
presenting displays. This determines the quality of the presented which may be
significant degraded but the content is well developed. Another concern is if the display
is appropriate for a wide range of audience which include standards for display for the
visually impaired in which assistive technology may be introduced. Assistive technology
allows disable people to use computer display devices
