There must be a firm reason for an individual to make a particular choice of profession.
My passion to offer compassionate care to patients motivated me to pursue a nursing profession.
At a personal level, I feel contended hen I offer nursing care to the most deserving healthcare
recipients. It elicits a lot of !oy and contentment hen I attend to patients and eventually see
them go through the recovery phase before being discharged out of hospital.
I strongly believe that I have attained the desired professional achievements in the course
of my practice as a nurse. I have an associate degree in nursing. I am also an Associate of Arts
holder. I have played the functions of a certified nursing assistant and delivered my duties in a
professional manner.
I am a registered nurse "#loat pool$ ho has served in various areas such as assisting in
the rehabilitation of patients using the individuali%ed patient care plan approach, enhancing
psycho&social needs, safety and physical comfort of patients. 'ther professional duties include
observing and recording all crucial information on patients( progress, educating patients on their
medication, administration and treatment regimen as ell as the evaluation and documentation of
patients( health outcomes. I have also been involved in the provision of care to geriatric patients,
maintaining dignity of patients, organi%ing social activities and games to encourage group
interaction and promoting physical as ell as mental ellbeing. I have also empoered and
supported patients to personally guide their lives in the process of aging.

included oncology, rehabilitation, geriatrics, pediatrics, emergency, respiration systems, cardiac
care, orthopedics, and maternity care unit.
In regards to my strengths as a nurse, I have executed competent and therapeutic care for
different patient populations during my previous ork placements. 1esides, I have the ability to
practice critical thinking hen solving problems. I can critically evaluate, make decisions and

here I can provide nursing services to diverse patient population using evidence based
practices. I also desire to offer competent and therapeutic care to different patient populations.
To recap it all, nursing profession has gron by leaps and bounds over the past fe
decades. There are increasing complexities in the field of nursing that demand continuous
innovation and invention in the healthcare sector. It is against this backdrop that I plan to fill the
ever groing gap in the delivery of nursing services by ac6uiring a baccalaureate degree in
nursing and later put the same into professional practice.
