You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from
whom you have learned them,
15
and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom
that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in
righteousness;

17
so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

LOOKING BACK

There will be no looking back this week as Dr. Gene Getz will be preaching.

LOOKING AHEAD
Indispensable: One Thing that Changes Everything
Blind Spot
1 Corinthians 13:1-3

Lets call it a blind spot. The illusion of self-worth. Read that again. The illusion of self-worth. We want it, and
in many ways we need it. But we have big blind spots when it comes to what makes our lives significant. In
this well-known passage, Paul introduces us to the one thing that changes everything.

1. Read vs 1-3 out loud several times. Make note of key words, repeated words, contrasts,
comparisons, etc.

2. What major point do you think Paul is trying to make in the three verses?

3. How does he seek to do it?

4. What is the desired effect he is seeking in his readers?

5. What can you learn about the Corinthians from the following passages?
(3:3, 3:21, 4:18, 11:20-21, 6:1,6, 5:1-2, 6:15,20, 8:9, 9:1-2 12:27-31)

6. What question are you left with at the end of v. 3?
