Abstract
The 3D urban geology information system of Xiamen including massive data management, analysis and information
dissemination function, is a basic and comprehensive platform which geological work of Xiamen city can dynamic service in
economic and social development in long term. This paper introduced the background of the establishment of the 3D urban
geology information system of Xiamen and the overall design plan. The key technologies of the system and innovations, the
application results were discussed in detail. The advantages and disadvantages of current system were also analyzed.
