Using the LabVIEW Robotics Examples

Overview
This is a tutorial that shows you how to effectively find and use example VIs in LabVIEW Robotics.
Whether you are new to LabVIEW programming or a veteran robotics programmer, the NI Example Finder is an incredibly useful development tool. You can modify an example VI to fit your
application, or you can copy and paste from one or more example VIs into a VI that you create.
Complete the following steps to browse or search installed example VIs:
Select to launch the NI Example Finder. You also can select options on the window to launch the NI Example Finder. HelpFind Examples Find Robotics Examples Getting Started
Use the or page of the NI Example Finder to find an example VI for a specific development topic. Browse Search
Select the Robotics Example Folder to browse robotics-specific examples.
Along with the hundreds of example VIs it contains for general programming tasks, LabVIEW Robotics includes several example files specifically for robot development, in the Robotics Example
Folder.
Architectures: This example folder contains example project files for various processing architectures, including single processing and multiple, parallel processing control loop examples.
Basics: This example folder contains example project files for basic, low level tasks.
Cogmation: This example folder contains example VIs that demonstrate various control schemes when using Cogmation robotSim API.
Communication Protocols: This example folder contains example project files and VIs to conduct basic, low-level communications on your robot.
Connectivity: This example folder contains example project files demonstrating how one can connect to third-party software from LabVIEW Robotics.
Control and Simulation: This example folder contains example control design and simulation VIs that demonstrate various control plants, control models and simulation techniques to design
your robot control.
Motion Control: This example folder contains example VIs that demonstrate how you can connect to and control actuators to make your robot move.
Path Planning: This example folder contains example VIs that demonstrate various algorithms for robot path planning.
