Poor Line Rise, slip, TCC slip burnt clutches
This condition is commonly caused by a poor internal ground in the VCM. This poor ground will cause
pressure control solenoid voltage to remain high during heavy-throttle acceleration. To repair this condition, use
AC Delco service part number 12167310, it contains a jumper lead.
Step 1: Disconnect the negative battery lead.
Step 2: Remove the wire from the clear connector at pin location 18.
Step 3: Install one end of the new jumper wire into this location (pin 18).
Step 4: Carefully punch a hole in the blue connector at pin location 23 and install the wire that used
to be in pin 18 (clear connector) into this new location.
Step 5: Punch a hole into the red connector at pin location 26 and install the remaining end of the
new jumper wire into this location.
