MOBILE EXHIBITION-ITS DESIGN, PURPOSE,RELEVANCE AND REQUIREMENT.

What do you understand by the word exhibition? It can be simply stated as a way of displaying many different ideas, collections, knowledge, culture and many more things that help the people to understand what was in their past, its present and the future. Exhibitions can be permanent or temporary, where collections stay within a museum for a long time or they are held for short term where there are new concepts and themes exhibited each and every time. museum as an institution plays many roles and one of the roles is to exhibit and educate people using any medium. for my thesis I am going to explore on one such medium known as mobile exhibition. My thesis will explore on what are mobile exhibitions? What are its purposes? What is it as an object of a museum?. As there are many people who cannot outreach a museum so I will research on how mobile exhibition is going to simplify it. My thesis will also try to cover the design aspect of a mobile museum on how it is to be created and what ideas could be used to make it affordable, functionable and extendable. The limitations and scopes of mobile museum will be stated. How mobile museum can be used to organise activities, competition workshops and other programs will also be stated. My theses will also explore on how to structure a mobile museum? How to communicate the message to the desired people? And what do we communicate. I will also give an introduction of what is a museum? What are the types of exhibition. Then I will talk about temporary exhibition , its types and what is its importance. I will also compare between the mobile exhibitions in India and out of india and state the various possibilities and improvements. I would in the end conclude it with how we can change and grow with newer ideas.
