MJ has learned all phases, including appropriate processes of Accounts Payable, She has gained confidence in herself as well as in the subject matter with which she is working. She deals with other administrators in the college gaining their approval for payment, solving problems, speaking with vendors. email _____________________ email sherry@mca.edu

2. Describe successful activities or accomplishments in the internship. Successfully learned our accounting software system, has become proficient in the payables process. She has also worked on reconciling our purchase card system. She is professional and prompt in all things. I think we are ready to expand into journal entry, and reconciling bank statements.

3. Analyze the interns response to challenges or problems confronted in the internship. MJ looks for solutions to problems herself, finds help, or ask questions if needed. She also makes minimal errors.

4. Identify assistance needed by the intern or the supervisor to successfully complete the internship. I know of no problems that would keep us from completing the internship.

Identify new knowledge, skills or attitudes you have acquired in your internship. Currently, my time at the College of Art has provided me a variety of new skills and experiences. I was able to gain primary experience on how accounting duties are carried out in a real business setting. I have learned the processes of authorizing, entering, and reviewing invoices, supporting documents, and checks with the use of the colleges accounting software, Jenzabar. Other duties I performed consisted of working on spreadsheets and reconciling monthly credit card statements. During my time at my internship, I was also able to gain knowledge about Human Resource Management by performing various tasks in relation to it. 2. Describe successful activities or accomplishments in your internship. I have successfully been able to learn a vast amount of new information within the few months of my internship. Most importantly, I have been able to apply the knowledge I have gained from the accounting classes I have taken prior to the internship as well as knowledge that I am learning from the classes I am currently taking. I believe I have performed expectations and assignments at my internship competently. 3. Analyze your response (s) to challenges or problems you have confronted in your internship. The challenges I faced included becoming acquainted with the colleges accounts payable system and learning how to execute each task in the proper manner within the scope of the proper accounting system in place. Other challenges included ensuring that proper documentation/supporting documents were provided for when reconciling monthly credit card statements. 4. Identify assistance needed to successfully complete your internship. Do you need assistance from the Internship Office? I believe I have been properly equipped with adequate knowledge from school and from my supervisors at my internship; therefore, I do not require further assistance to complete my internship at Memphis College of Art at this moment. !
