What are Types of Government?

There are lots of types of governments like monarchy, democracy and dictatorship But there are some ideas of governments like socialism, communism and capitalism. Now, in the world there is not a country that is in anarchy. (anarchy means no leader in the country)

Democracy is when the government is formed by the people. In democracy the people vote for their government for example, every four years. In America you can only be president twice. Democracy is the most famous type of government in the world. In some countries there is only a vote for a party that chooses the prime minister and it has a royal family instead of a president.

Monarchy
Monarchy is when a country is ruled by a king or queen. In some countries, if there is bigger princess and a smaller prince the prince will get the power. But in some you choose the oldest child of the royal family. The new king or queen is born into his/her office.

Anarchy
Anarchy is when a country has no leader and you can do whatever you want to do. Now, in the world no country is an anarchy. But in the past Spain was in a civil war/anarchy.

Dictatorship
Dictatorship is when only one small group or a person has the power of the country. Its like in Germany when Adolf Hitler got the power of Germany and started WWII. Another example is Francisco Franco who took the power of Spain. A dictatorship is based on fear.

Ideas of Government
Communism: Communism is based on equality when everybody has the same amount of things.

Capitalism: Capitalism is when everybody needs to buy everything: their houses, food

Socialism: Socialism is a milder version of communism, when the government owns some of the factories instead of person or companies and give things to help you.

Why do governments form?

Governments form because they make a country. A country without a government does not count as a real country, because there is anarchy and all the thieves and robbers would go to that country and do horrible thing in there because no laws or protection. When a country does not have any government its called Anarchy.

What is the Function of Government?

The function of a government is to have rules and some people to be the leaders of a country. Some of the things they do is, they propose laws, they make trades with other countries. And most of them try to make peace with other countries.

How do Citizens Influence their Government and Vice Versa?

The citizens influence their government by voting. Then the vote gives the citizens a little bit of power in the government. The government influences the citizens by proposing laws for the people.

Why do Government Systems Change?

Government systems have to change for example, when the citizens are not happy with the current Government. They can revolt for a new government.
