With great enthusiasm, I am applying for an elementary teaching position within Clark County School District. In May 2014, I will graduate from Nevada State College with a B.A. in Elementary Education and Special Education. I have an incredible passion for teaching and love being in the classroom. I am ready to help educate students and am confident I will be a valuable member of the districts teaching staff. My resume is enclosed for review. I was given an amazing opportunity to complete my student teaching at Gordon McCaw Elementary School. While I gained incredible teaching experiences, I was given excellent reviews that prove I am qualified for an elementary teaching position. Aside from my student teaching, I have completed over eighty hours of field observations and volunteering. I have also worked closely with ELL and special needs students to complete courses for the TESL endorsement. Having worked with such diverse students, I am now more inspired than ever to make an impact in the lives of young students. As an educator, I strive to help students accomplish their goals, grow academically, and be ready by exit. I have excelled academically and am continually striving to better myself, personally and as an educator. Throughout student teaching, I have grown and developed as an educator, particularly in planning and creating diverse, differentiated instruction. I firmly believe in creating a positive learning environment that encourages students to become excited about learning, while being held accountable with high expectations to do their best. In hiring me, you would gain a personable team member who is extremely enthusiastic and motivated about teaching and learning. I look forward to starting my career in a school district that truly values education and students. It is my dream to inspire and educate students while helping them obtain their goals and become successful.
