I visited a home with a convalescent home ministry and met this sweet elderly lady. She just had a hip surgery and can't walk. She is beautiful; her face is so soft and her eyes so gentle. Yet she sadly said that her beauty is no more and her skin is no longer supple. I don't know how to tell her that she is beautiful until I went home.
This tremendous wave of sadness overcame me and brought back memories of many other sweet souls who do not know how beautiful they are. Beauty is not skin-deep; it truly is from within. True beauty does not fade and it does not matter if you just have one leg.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Beauty is in the eyes of God.
Practice looking at yourself, through God's eyes, which see and seek nothing but the beauty of your soul.
