DAYANA ARCE JIMENEZ NATURE OR NURTURE

Trough time scientist have known for years that traits such as eye color, and hair color are determined by specific genes in each human cell and also scientist putted emphasis to the nature theory saying that intelligence, personality, aggression are also encoded in an individuals DNA. However, discussion arises if nature or nurture is important in the development of the intelligence. Actually, fast-growing understanding of the human genome has recently made it clear that both sides are partly right. Nature endows us with inborn abilities and traits; nurture takes these genetic tendencies and molds them as we learn and mature, as we can see nature and nurture go hand by hand, both are important in the development of a child. These are some of the arguments why both are important. First, early stimulation to children helps to the development of their intelligence. For example, parents with high education used to appreciate early stimulation, therefore organized a full program of activities for their children. Also, as a result, children tend to develop more quickly. As we can see this type of stimulation is important and it is one of the reason why parents and children tend to get a similar success in life. Second, scientific research of genetic structure influences in many aspects of development of a child from conception. For example, parents with talent in music have kids with big capacity to learn any musical instrument above average kids. Also there are athletes couples that have kids with natural talent for any sports. This inclination for music or sports shows that without any hint or a intense stimulation of the parents, this talent came from structure genes. Third, common sense and everyday experience indicate that what parents do affect to their kids. For example, if the kids learn any song, they couldnt have done it alone. They needed that parent teach them the melody and lyrics. Also, kids undergoing to stimulating programs like swimming helps to the mobility and cardiovascular system of the kid. In conclusion, these are some reason why nature or nurture go hand by hand, we shouldnt leave everything to chance with the hope that your childs natural talent is revealed in all its splendor without your intervention; and do not hope to high, believing that your child can get it all whenever you get the right kind of stimulation.
