To relax and involve Ss in a way that prepares them for the content To check grammar accuracy & language fluency through oral exercises to find out what they already know To present the grammar structure in a meaningful context To offer controlled oral practice in pairs

PROCEDURE
Hand out small slips of paper and ask students to write 3 interesting things they have done Write on the board Find someone who has _________ Students copy sentences on their tictactoe sheets. They must ask information until they get a tictactoe Ask students have you always? Questions based on their tictactoe answers. Write form on the board with past tense. Teacher models conversation. Students repeat chorally. Students practice worksheet conversations in pairs. Review the how to say it phrases. Have student practice the conversations with different partners using the reacting to info Speed dating. Students sit in two rows facing each other. They each ask a how about you question and react to the information using new phrases. Ask a few students the questions from the how about you section. Have one or two pairs model the conversation with the new vocab. Students use new phrases to ask the teacher questions and respond appropriately
