L Uni"ersity Courses #t is $ell kno$n that language e%ams e%ert an influence on language teaching and learning& 'he $ashback effect attracts the attention of language teachers and researchers& 'his paper follo$s this research line& At first( $e $ill introduce CELU (Certificado de Espaol Lengua y Uso)& CELU is a proficiency test of Spanish as a foreign language $hich aims at e"aluating the student)s present reading( $riting and speaking skills in real life conte%ts& #t can be taken by any candidate $ho needs to pro"e his or her ability to use this language in $orking and academic conte%ts& #t is granted by the #nteruni"ersity Consortium for the 'eaching and 'esting of Spanish as a Second and !oreign Language( integrated by more than half the Argentine *ational Uni"ersities& #t has been officially recogni+ed and appro"ed by the ,inistries of Education and of !oreign Affairs of Argentina& *o specific preparatory course is re-uired to pass the e%am( though since CELU $as planned as .an e%am $ith potential for positi"e $ashback on the teaching of S!L.( many Uni"ersities ha"e re"ised and inno"ated their curriculum influenced by the CELU approach& After dra$ing methodological frame$ork proposed by CELU( this paper e%amines $ashback effects in language curriculum planning in S!L course at Uni"ersidad *acional del Centro de la /ro"incia de 0uenos Aires (Argentine)& 'he study focuses on the follo$ing aspects of S!L planning1 content( materials( teaching methods and introduction of technology& 'he o"erall findings indicate that CELU affects curriculum designing( class planning( materials de"elopment and the criteria in selecting and using technologies in Spanish teaching&
