Listening Activity

Level and Age: Objective: Advanced Organizers: Intermediate 16-18yrs Sophomore through senior year. The students are recursive listening because every time they listen to the song they will do something different. Im going to show the students a picture of the band Man with missing body parts, such as a hand, a head, arms, eyes, and a mouth. This will trigger the students to remember the previous vocabulary, which are body parts. This will also help to introduce them to an iconic Hispanic band that can be served as an authentic material. This song has always been a favorite song of mine and after doing some research I was able to find the lyrics without the body parts from formespa a site the has a list of Spanish songs along with activities to do. The students are going to listen to the song Mis ojos, by Man from this video and fill out a handout with the missing lyrics that are body parts. They will listen to song three times: 1. We will listen is as a group and discuss what the song might be about 2. The students will listen for body parts 3. The students will listen and fill out the lyric handout.
