Detailed Lesson
Before the Task- Students learn vocabulary about food, drinks, countable and uncountable nouns. During the Task- The sample writing is presented. They match the ingredients and pictures. Then they read the instructions and complete them with cut or put. Finally they write instructions to make their favourite sanchwich. They invent a name, they say the ingredients they need and tweet the instructions starting with #myfavouritesanchwich After the Task- Students read other students recipes and we comment on them in class.
Presentation- The teacher writes the first tweet about her favourite sandwich, then helps the students to tweet their recipes. Assessment- Students tweets will be assessed according to their originality and grammar correction, lack of spelling mistakes, etc... Additional Notes/Tips for Success- An OHP with Internet connection would be perfect to display the students tweets in class.
