Pelayo, Jose Maria G., III, and Celeste S. Sanchez. "Music Therapy With Autistic Children: A Multiple Case Study." Online Submission (2013): ERIC. Web. 21 Nov. 2013. Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. This research report states information about autism. What it is and statistics about how many people have it. People are looking to see how well music therapy will help children with autism in their growth and development. The report states that parents, on finding their children have autism, go through just about everything they can to help their child cope with the struggles of having autism. I believe that music is a very powerful tool in education not only with the disabled but also with the regular students. This report helps show how the arts as a subject help those with autism.

2. Knight, Victoria F., et al. "Using Systematic Instruction And Graphic Organizers To Teach Science Concepts To Students With Autism Spectrum Disorders And Intellectual Disability." Focus On Autism And Other Developmental Disabilities 28.2 (2013): 115-126. ERIC. Web. 21 Nov. 2013. For students with autism spec- trum disorders (ASD), vocabulary acquisition in any content area is a challenge due to limited or complete lack of oral language abilities (McDuffie, Yoder, & Stone, 2005). This journal article talks about how systematic instruction and graphic organizers help autistic students learn math. In one of the paragraphs it states that the reason math is so hard is because of the extensive vocabulary. In order to my final project I might do a section on either all of the disabilities or with the different school subjects. This article backs up my both ideas. 1

"Math Practice And Its Influence On Math Skills And Executive Functions In Adolescents With Mild To Borderline Intellectual Disability." Research In Developmental Disabilities: A Multidisciplinary Journal 34.5 (2013): 18151824. ERIC. Web. 21 Nov. 2013.

Adolescents with mild to borderline intellectual disability (MBID) often complete schooling without mastering basic math skills, even though basic math is essential for math-related challenges in everyday life.
This journal article talks about students with mild disabilities. Such as basic learning disabilities. This article goes on to state that students are graduating schools with out a proficient knowledge of basic mathematics. This article opens the mind to mild disabilities that you dont normally think about. This will help with my research on mild disabilities. 4. DuPaul, George J., Lisa L. Weyandt, and Grace M. Janusis. "ADHD In The Classroom: Effective Intervention Strategies." Theory Into Practice 50.1 (2011): 35-42. ERIC. Web. 21 Nov. 2013. Reducing the length of an assignment to match students attention spans may reduce off-task, disruptive behavior. This article is focused on strategies for teachers to use on students with ADHD. This article is a direct root to my research stating strategies for teachers. This article is full of useful tips to put on my website.

Service Training For Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder." Psychology In The Schools 45.10 (2008): 918-929. Education Research Complete. Web. 21 Nov. 2013. This article addresses how teachers do not get enough training for ADHD. To me this is a weird statement because how can anyone really be prepared for ADHD? The child itself doesnt at first know how to deal with ADHD especially when not yet diagnosed. This article backs up my beliefs 100% and pertains to my research.

Down Syndrome, Autism And Other Severe Developmental Delays By Video Instruction In Classroom Setting." Journal Of Early & Intensive Behavior Intervention 4.4 (2007): 736-743. Education Research Complete. Web. 22 Nov. 2013.

This paper addresses optimal strategies in teaching essential life and communication skills to children with Down syndrome, autism and other developmental delays. 2

As stated above this paper is about strategies for teaching children with disabilities. This paper is one of my main sources giving information on many different kinds of disabilities.

7. McCormick, Linda, Mai Wong, and Lisa Yogi. "Individualization In The Inclusive

Both the early childhood edu-cation (ECE) and ECSE fields have a strong commitment to individualization. This article is mainly about curriculum and how for special needs children the curriculum is set to their abilities. This does not mean one-on-one but that the child is graded on his or her progress not just on the grade. This article helps me in that it shows how special needs students are taught in classrooms. What their curriculum is like is also very important. This article backs up my research in that it shows how special ed teachers are teaching these children with disabilities.

Parsons, L.. N.p.. Web. 21 Nov 2013. <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cK_WBmdUx8c>. This video is not only an example of some teaching strategies but it shows how to use them in skits. I may add this video to my website because of the content on it. It is simple and easy to understand.

9. N.p.. Web. 21 Nov 2013. <http://www.hoagiesgifted.org/eric/faq/lesnplan.html>.

This website includes many different lesson plans for students with disabilities. This research is effective in that I am able to look at the things that teachers are trying to teach their students. Written into some of these lesson plans are modifications on how to teach the lesson. These tips are a huge part of my research.

Children with Disabilities. National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities, n.d. Web. 21 Nov. 2013.

This website is a blog with five secrets of how to be a special education teacher. I feel that it is important to read the common mans writing so to speak when it comes to some things. For my last source I added this because I thought it would help set my mind and in smaller words than all of those articles tell me how it is to be a special education teacher.
