Our formative assessment is a combination of =uestion and ;nswer in a Lesson and a !ro<ect% We will be as'in students 6uestions on their understandin of the vocabulary usin story conte)t clues% ;fter we review the vocabulary this way, they will be able to use the web and create their Slideshare based on the vocabulary word !resented to them%

1or the summative assessment the students will create a Slideshare as their ,a!stone 3ro<ect% 2hey also will share their Slideshare with the class to dis!lay their s'ills% 2his will allow for the teacher to verify the 'nowled e and s'ills learned durin this lesson% ; rubric will be used to assess how well the students achieved the oal of definin their vocabulary word creatively throu h the Slideshare% 7See below for assessment rubric.

2his lesson !lan will encoura e and !romote students4 to e)ercises their co nitive learnin s'ills% 2hrou hout the whole lesson the student will be usin various strate ies to !rocess and construct their !ersonal understandin of the content !resented to them% -n the be innin of the lesson they will be havin to use their lower order of thin'in s'ills when they connect !ast learnin of already 'nown vocabulary words% 2hey then understand how they can use those already 'nown words to fi ure out new words within a !assa e% When they are iven the vocabulary word they are able to a!!ly their ability of usin conte)t clues and !ersonal 'nowled e to !rocess and analy>e what the word could mean% Once they discover the definition they will create a slideshare to connect to their hi her order of thin'in % 2his ste! of creatin a Slideshare will allow the students to have a visual of the new learned word, thus hel!in it to become !art of their lon term memory%
