1. Thoughtfully displays select products in comprehensive Professional Portfolio. X Evidence: I have incorporated the following for an organized and systematic portfolio; I do not have awards or attendance certificates Title page with personal information: name, address, phone, email, etc. Curriculum Vita (CV) Formal education: copies of transcripts and diplomas Certifications, publications Professional leadership, committee involvement, and community service activities Documentation of Practicum hours across curriculum

2. Appropriately uses frameworks, theories, standards, and/or guidelines as an organizing structure for the representation of products in Professional Portfolio. X Evidence: I have developed this portfolio with the Grand Theorist idealizm of Jean Watson. I also used nursing process, and core standards of practice for the APRN.

3. Selectively provides evidence of meeting goals towards projected certification requirements. X________ __________ Evidence: Continuing education appears to be a weakness on my part; as I have none to show. I have been out of the nursing work arena since my husband was injured in the Armed Forces on active duty in Iraq. Caring for him has been rewarding and fulfilling; but not necessarily academic. Knowing this provides me with the knowledge that I need to get busy going on line and completing continuing education units. When I worked in the hospitals, I did do many CEUs but no longer have record of them. Another thing I have

reflected on while doing this portfolio is that I need to save certificates and awards. Although it appears I do not have them; I simply closed those hospital chapters in my life and have not recorded them for my own records. In the nursing field the going saying is that if it is not documented, it did not happen. I need to become a better document keeper.

4. Effectively describes how learning and assessment activities in MSN program have contributed to growth and achievement of APRN knowledge, skills, and abilities. Evidence: Alverno has taught and shaped who I am as an APRN and developed me to become the best I know how to be.I am able to analyzes patterns to project future professional and educational development within myself. I know I need to work on continuing education units, awards and certifications. These can become some of my goals as I enter the work force. My first and foremost goals are to achieve certification as a nurse educator and as a clinical nurse specialist. I want to hold and achieve any certification I am eligible for.

5. Analyzes patterns to project future professional and educational development. Evidence: This assignment has really taught me about what weaknesses I need to address in the near future and of the things I will accomplish as an advanced practice nurse for my professional and educational development. As a lifelong learner I will continue to analize and detect patterns I can use to develope my career further.

6. Effectively communicates in writing. Evidence: Please see the website
