Highlights The Visual Element in Language Teaching by Pit Corder 1966 as the 1st piece of research into using visuals in the classroom

and discusses teaching language and meaning through the use of


images. Pit Corder made the distinction between talking about and talking with talking about = limited and constrained by the obvious, factual what you see, talking with = students bring their own knowledge/opinions to the picture and hypothesize
