Expresando cantidad o

En Ingles tenemos dos formas de


expresar cantidad o la existencia
de algo
Estas formas son:

THERE IS
Cuando queremos expresar la existencia
de una sola unidad.
THERE ARE
Cuando queremos expresar la existencia
de más de una unidad
Por ejemplo:
• There is a chisel in the tool box.
• There is a hammer under the workbench.
• There is one nail in my pocket.

• There are four saws on the table.


• There are three pliers in the corner.
• There are ten machines in the factory.
