Julia Schneider Objectives Students will research a countrys geography, government, capital city, language and any additional

al information students found interesting regarding the country. Students will display information in a Prezi, presenting the information to the class.

Directions 1) Create an account on http://prezi.com/index/. With Prezi, users can bring ideas to life through interaction. 2) After students are put into groups, they will choose a country to research. 3) Students will collaborate together to research information about their specific country regarding: a. Geography b. Government c. Capital City d. Language e. Additional Information 4) This information should be recorded on the handout for teachers reference. 5) After the information has been collected, groups will work together to create a Prezi, for which their information will be presented to the class. Prezi Country Presentation Project Example 1) Country: Mexico 2) Geography: Mexico is bordered by the United States to the north and Belize and Guatemala to the southeast.

3) Government: Mexico is a federal republic run by President Enrique Pea Nieto. A federal republic is a federation of states with a republican form of government. 4) Capital City: Mexicos capital city is Mexico City, home to 19,013,000 people. 5) Language: The popular language of Mexico is Spanish, but there are various Mayan, Nahuatl and other regional indigenous languages. 6) Additional Information: The official name of Mexico is Estados Unidos Mexicanos. Mexico introduced chocolate, corn, and chilies to the world. Mexicos flag is made up three vertical stripes. The left green stripe stand for hope, the middle white stripe represents purity, and the right red stripe represents the blood of the Mexican people. The picture of an eagle eating a snake is based on an Aztec legend. Only ten countries in the world have a larger population than Mexicos 109,955,400 million people.
