OHIO Replacement R&D Design Contract Overview

OHIO Replacement contract represents a significant departure from historical norms:
LOE and deliverables in a CPFF incentivized contract Innovative fee structure - EB must earn profit through measured performance Lower fixed fee - labor and material Deferred Incentive Pool ensures Government will not pay for unrealized cost reductions Incentives tied to cost reductions in: NRE Construction O&S Early design work in a completion contract environment

Period of performance spans five-years (FY 2013-2017) with ~$2B if all options exercised
First major OHIO Replacement specific contract, outside of CMC

Navy will take delivery of complete ship spec package and complete set of System Descriptions (SDs)
Navy will also take delivery of over 1000 disclosures and over 2000 arrangements Incentive structure ties current design yard performance to follow on contract
