1. CONTINENTS AND OCEANS OCEANS Oceans are very big seas of salt water. There are five oceans. Three of these oceans are the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans. The other two are the Arctic and Antarctic Oceans. These are frozen oceans. They are at the North and South Poles. CONTINENTS The solid part of the Earth is made up of continents. There are seven continents: Asia is the biggest continent. Africa is the hottest and poorest continent. America: the longest continent. Australia is the smallest continent.

On the Earth there are five Oceans. They are: the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Arctic and Antarctic Oceans. On the Earth there are six continents. They are: Asia, Africa, America, Australia and Antarctica.

2. EUROPE Europe is one of the Earths seven continents of the Earth. Europe is the second smallest continent after Oceania. It is next to Asia in the east and it is bordered on the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean and in the south by the Mediterranean Sea, near Africa.There are over 730 million people living in Europe. There are different countries, some of them are: In the West:The United Kingdom and Ireland. In the Southwest: Spain and Portugal. In the South:Italy and Greece. Russia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Romania are located in Eastern Europe.
Europe is the second smallest continent after Oceania. It is next to Asia in the east and it is bordered to the north by the Arctic Ocean, in the west by the Atlantic Ocean and in the south by the Mediterranean Sea, near Africa. The United kingdom or, U.K., is a country in the north-west of Europe. It is an island because it is surrounded by the sea. The United Kingdom is composed of four different countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The official language is English. The weather is rainy and cold. The population is around 59 million. The currency of the UK is the pound, it is represented by the symbol. The UK chose not to use the Euro. Some important cities are: London and Liverpool in England (London is the capital of England). Edinburgh (the capital of Scotland), Cardiff (the capital of Wales) and Belfast (the capital of Northern Ireland). In respect to monuments, some important ones are Big Ben (in Westminster Palace) and the London Bridge. They are in London.

4. SPAIN Spain is also a country in Europe. It is in the southwest, near Africa. Spain is divided into 17 autonomous communities (comunidades autnomas) and 2 autonomous cities (ciudades autnomas), Ceuta and Melilla. Each autonomous community is divided into provinces (provincias). The official language is Spanish. The weather is usually warm and sunny in the south. The population is around 46 million people. The currency of Spain is the Euro () , like many countries in the European Union. Some important cities are: Madrid, Barcelona and Seville.Madrid is the capital of Spain. In Spain there are some very important monuments of Arabic origin. Most of them are in the autonomous community of Andalusia, for example, La Alhambra in Granada and Mezquita de Crdoba (Mosque of Cordoba). In Madrid, there is one of the most important museums in the world, The Prado Museum

5. ANDALUSIA: OUR COMMUNITY Andalusia (Andaluca in Spanish) is an autonomous community of Spain. Population: Andalusia is the most populated autonomous community, there are around 8 million people who live there. It is also the second largest community after Castile Leon. Borders: Andalusia is bounded on the north by Extremadura and Castile-La Mancha; on the east by Murcia and the Mediterranean Sea; on the west by Portugal and the Atlantic Ocean and on the south by the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Provinces: Andalusia is divided into eight provinces, they are: Almeria, Granada, Jan, Mlaga, Seville, Crdoba, Cdiz and Huelva. Seville is the capital of Andalusia. Weather: the weather in Andalusia is warm and sunny. Flag: The flag is green, white and green. Landscape. There are 2 mountainous systems: the Sierra Morena to the north of Andalusia and the Andalusian mountain range (Cordilleras Bticas) to the Andalusian south-east. Mulhacn is the highest peak. The valley of the Guadalquivir is between these mountain ranges. It is a huge extension of flat land and it is very fertile and good for cultivating different plants.
