Atmospheric Rupture Indicators

Atmospheric Indicators Atmospheric Indicators are used to signal excessive pressure in lubrication systems. Atmospheric Indicators employ a rupture disc which will burst at a predetermined pressure, automatically relieving pressure. The disc must be replaced to restore normal operation. An Atmospheric Indicator is usually located at the pump to centrally signal excessive system pressure. Bursting of the disc at this point will cause the control device to react and automatically shut the equipment down and/or provide a remote warning. Mounting / Safety When installing be sure to position the Atmospheric Indicator so that the orifice is away from where the operator or workers may pass or be working.
