Halloween also known as Halloween or All Souls' Night, is a Celtic festival celebrated mainly in the United States, Canada,

Ireland, the United Kingdom and in Anglo-Saxon countries such as Colombia, Spain, Mexico and to a lesser extent Central on the night of October 31. It has roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian holiday All Saints. The day is often associated with the colors orange, black and purple. Typical activities include the famous Halloween trick or treating, costume parties, visiting haunted houses, jokes and viewing horror films.

Origin of the name. The word "Halloween" is used as such for the first time in the sixteenth century, and comes from a Scottish variation of the phrase "All Hallows' Even that means" All Saints Eve ".
