Adding an Eventto the Calendar

Your Calendar helps organize your time and reminds you of
importantevents.

To add an event:

1.SelectMenu > Tools > Scheduler.

2.Using your navigation key, highlightthe day to which
you would like to add an eventand press Add (left
softkey).

Tip: Press the navigation key up or down to scroll by week through the
Calendar.

3.Selecta time for the eventby highlighting the time field
and pressing

.

Using your keypad and/or navigation key, setthe

startand end time for the eventand press

.

4.Selecta title for the eventby highlighting [Content] and
pressing

.

Enter the eventtitle and press

. (See “Entering

Text”on page 35.)

5.Selecta repeating status for the eventby highlighting
the repeatfield and pressing

.

HighlightNone, Daily, Mon - Fri, Weekly, Monthly, or

Yearly and press

.

6.Selectan alarm time for the eventby highlighting the
alarm field and pressing

.

HighlightNone, On time, 5 minutes, 10 minutes,

1 hour, 1 day, or2 days and press

7.Selecta ringer type for the alarm by highlighting the
ringer field and pressing

To selecta ringer menu, selectOptions > Single Tones,

Ring Tones, Melodies, Voice Memo,My Content, My
Melodies, GetNew
for ringers.

8.Press Save (leftsoftkey) to save the event.

EventAlerts

There are several ways your phone alerts you to scheduled events:

By playing the assigned ringer type.

By illuminating the backlight.

By flashing the LED.

EventAlertMenu

When your phone is turned on and you have an eventalarm
scheduled, your phone alerts you and displays the event
summary. To silence the alarm and resetthe schedule,
press

.

To view additional options, press the appropriate softkey.

Detail(rightsoftkey) displays the eventdetail screen.

Snooze(leftsoftkey) silences the alarm and schedules itto
replay again in five minutes.

Viewing Events

To view your scheduled events:

1.SelectMenu >Tools > Scheduler.

2.Using your navigation key, highlightthe day for which
you would like to view events and press

. (If you have

events scheduled for the selected day, they will be listed
in chronological order.)

3.To display the details of an eventlisted in the schedule,
highlightitand press

Going to Today’s Calendar Menu

To go to the Calendar menu for today’s date:

SelectMenu >Tools > Scheduler > Options > Go to Today.

Erasing a Day’s Events

To erase a day’s scheduled events:

1.SelectMenu >Tools > Scheduler.

2.Using your navigation key, highlightthe day for which
you would like to erase events and press

.

Tip:In the calendar view, days with events scheduled are underlined.

3.SelectOptions > Delete All. (An alertwill appear notifying
you of the number of events to be erased.)

4.SelectYes or No.

Note: If the day for which you are erasing events contains a repeating
event, you will receive the following prompt: “This is a recurring event.
.”SelectDelete this eventonlyto erase a single occurrence,
Delete all eventsto erase all occurrences of the event, or Cancelto cancel
the deletion of the repeating event.

Purging Events

To delete events scheduled before a specific time and date:

1.SelectMenu >Tools > Scheduler > Options > Delete Old.

2.Selectthe option to erase events older than One week, One
month
, Oneyear, or One day. (A dialog will be displayed to
inform you how many old events have been erased.)

Purging All Events

To delete all scheduled events:

1.SelectMenu >Tools > Scheduler > Options > Delete All. (A
dialog will be displayed informing you how many events
will be erased.)

2.SelectYes to erase all events or Noto return to the
calendar view.
