2013-2014 http://mrmooremath.weebly.com

In Seventh Grade, instructional time should focus on four critical areas: Developing understanding of and applying proportional relationships; Developing understanding of operations with rational numbers and working with expressions and linear equations; Solving problems involving scale drawings and informal geometric constructions, and working with two- and threedimensional shapes to solve problems involving area, surface area, and volume; and Drawing inferences about populations based on samples http://www.corestandards.org

u Ratios and Proportional Relationships u The Number System u Expression and Equations u Geometry u Statistics and Probability

Reports are distributed each trimester Feedback on both academic progress and work habit progress is provided The numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are utilized to report progress towards achieving standards (No Letter Grades) Standards Status updated each week and posted on board

Standards Ratings based on Assessments Standards Based Grade on 1-5 scale 5 Exceeds Standards 4 Meets and Sometimes Exceeds Standards 3 Consistently Meets Standards 2 Meets Some Standards 1 Does Not Meet Standards

A Standards Based Grade of 3 is NOT equivalent to a C!
