Introduction
• I would talking about the abortion, their
physical and emotional consequences in
women and men. Also, I talk about the
post-abortion syndrome, and show some
statistics in Puerto Rico and other
countries.
Purpose
My purpose is to persuade you,
(especially women), do not abort or think
about it, because the abortion have many
consequences that the women don’t
know.
What is abortion?

An abortion is the removal or expulsion

of an embryo or fetus from the uterus,
resulting in or caused by its death.

of abortion are:
– Suction Aspiration

Abortion
Consequences in
Women
Consequences
• The abortion have two types of
consequences
– Physically
– Emotionally
Physical Consequences
• Some physical consequences are:
– An increase risk of breast, cervical, ovarian and liver
cancer.
– Complications, such as uterine perforation, cervical
laceration, and placenta previa cannot only cause
very severe problems, but they can also lead to
problems in future pregnancies, such as
miscarriages, premature births, fetal deaths and
children born with handicaps, because any problem
or change with a woman’s reproductive organ may
affect the development of her children.
Physical Consequences
– Infection, including pelvic inflammatory disease,
occur in 30% of abortions; if not stopped soon
enough, they can leave a woman barren.
– 2% of women who have abortions suffer life
threatening complications, such as bleeding, fever,
infections, etc.

– Diminished respect for human life
– Psychological Reactions
• Alcoholism
• Smoking

• Self-Destructive
– Flashbacks and nightmares
– Destruction of trust between men and women

child abuse.
Emotional Consequences
– Feelings of guilt or regret among father or
aborted children.

• A series of psychological effects experienced by
19% to 60% of women, ranging from mild
depression to suicide or attempted suicide.
Men and Abortion
by Wayne Brauning
Leader of Men’s Abortion Recovery Ministeries

“…fathers experience the same negative

post-abortion reactions that women do: anger,
depression, guilt, and broken relationships. …No
matter how you look at it, a male who pushes a
female into an abortion knows he’s taking the
coward’s way out. And a female who goes along
with the decision will grieve other it for the rest of
her life.”
