Watering Our Garden

Today our class went to the garden to see how our vegetables are growing. First we walked to the garden. We felt the soil to see if it was damp and we looked at the leaves to see if they were droopy. They were! Mrs Green said we were allowed to water them. Next Mrs Green helped us put water in the watering can. it was very heavy and some splashed on her shoes. Finally our class took turns watering plants. I watered the huge pumpkin plant because I think it would need the most water. Mrs Green said to only water the roots because thats where the plants need the water to be. I hope the plants have enough water so that they grow lots of vegetables for us to taste.
