Test Results
The following data was collected by setting up similar ROCKY simulations using the same chute geometries and particle size and distribution settings (see Particle Shape and Size Distributions). The simulations were then processed for 20 seconds of real flow time on the machines described below. The clock time it took to complete the simulations was then recorded. Based on this data, you can come to your own conclusions about how different parameters affect simulation time, and can use those conclusions to determine what processing options work best for your needs. For example: Increasing the particle size ratio will cause time penalties. A group of mono-sized particles will process 12 times faster than equivalently sized, non-round,15faceted particles. (And so on.) Comminution Technology will continue to update this data as information becomes available. If you would like to share the data you have collected running ROCKY on your own machines, please contact CT. Important: This information is provided as a guideline only. Actual results may vary.
