Should contributions to SSS, GSIS, PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG be made voluntary instead of mandatory? Yes.

There are lots of people having problems with claiming their benefits. I understand that the government has its own rules and regulations regarding claiming of benefits. They strictly implement their rules and regulations. The beneficiaries are finding it hard to claim what is entitled to them. These are contributions that were easily compelled to be contributed by them to the government. But the problem is that the governments obligation is just to keep those contributions until it is needed by the beneficiaries. There are number of cases where a beneficiary or a member is refused to be given of his benefits. It is just unfair to deprive a person of his benefits when it is obvious that he/she has paid his contributions. If such person was made to choose between being a member or not he/she would not have suffer this kind of problem. I said that opinion because not all workers want to avail of these benefits mandated by the government. Had there been a leniency in the implementation of these programs in favor of the members, they would not have suffered these difficulties in claiming their benefits.
