    Products used –

    Challenge
    Multiple axis guidance system is exposed to a constant flood of
    wood chips and sawdust from the machine operation. This is a
    new design, part of an effort to automate a set-up process.

    Application Description
    This KSM (USA) developed and designed machine
    automatically mills “notches” in heavy logs used in prefabricated
    log homes. The machine operates almost constantly 8-10 hours
    per day, 5 days per week.

    Solution
    DualVee® and HepcoMotion assemblies eliminate the necessity to
    protect the guidance system from the hostile operating environment.
    Bishop-Wisecarver components, after years of installation are still
    operating without apparent wear and without any lubrication on
    the tracks.
